In Short – Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon…

- Where To Sit:
- If you have a large party, reserve the circular "Pope's Table." Special occasion? Request the kitchen table, where diner's can watch all the behind-the-scenes restaurant action.
Huge portions

This last time I figured I'd just get a salad because every other time, the portions are just way more than one person can eat. So out comes my salad and it is piled so high on the dinner sized oval plate that lettuce is falling over the side. My wife got a different salad but hers was just as big. The food overall is pretty average as italian fare goes. The location though(at the Florida mall) is convenient when you're shopping and it is storming outside. Each time our service was very pleasant and friendly. The prices are more than reasonable given the quantity of the presentations. You can absolutely share at this place. If not plan on eating the leftovers for at least 2 days-lol.
- Pros: HUGE portions, convenient location
- Cons: there's better italian out there
Go for the Tiramisu!
by qla at Citysearch
This is a place that you would enjoy to go with your friends because they have a huge portion that will satisfy all of you. Don't order individual food because believe me you won't be able to finish it ... the portion is just too big (the concept of the restaurant is actually SHARING the food). Now regarding the food, comparing it with other Italian restaurant I would say that they taste pretty average... not too astounding. But with large group of people, you'll get all the fun with a great price and satisfying stomach.
One thing I strongly recommend is their TIRAMISU. They have one of the best Tiramisu I ever taste.
