Awful service here. I have used this dentist for several years because my insurance offers few options. I have never been pleased with the service, but my most recent visit was the final straw. First, I had to wait for 20 minutes in the waiting room. When I was finally called called back there was only one patient being worked on with a bunch of open chairs. A woman scraped my teeth. I believe this is the same woman who scraped my teeth last year because the pain was awful. The someone else came in to 'polish" my teeth. When she was done, she said," That's it." I then asked, "Is the doctor not going to look at my teeth?" (I had noticed the dentist left while I was in the waiting room.) That's when the woman who had scraped my teeth claimed to be the dentist. So I asked, "Why didn't you examine my teeth and make any comments? Why did you not even take x-rays?" Her response? "Come back in 6 months." This is great. I come in once a year and (1) I have to wait, (2) I need novacaine to service the cleaning, (3) I don;t get x-rays and (4) the dentist doesn't even look at my teeth. Have never been thrilled with it, and EVERY time I go there there is a long wait, sometimes as long as an hour. I even called back to the office to inquire why they did not take xrays, and was put on hold forever. I plan to lodge a complaint about this place with my insurance company. Hopefully, I won't have problems with my teeth, and i won;t have to bring in my lawyer.

Most Unprofessional Dentist Office Award. My daughter needed a filling, so I made an appointment. Their first available was more than a month out. I took it. The filling fell out in less than a month. I called them to reschedule, and they scheduled her for the next day at 10AM.

After waiting an hour I asked them when she might be seen and they said, "When there are no more patients; maybe in an hour."

Shoddy work, unprofessional practices; this is what you get with Oviedo Dental.

OMG!! THE THINGS THEY SAY R WRONG $$$. Just left the dentist she told me I needed periodontal maintenance. All told my cost, $334.00. Then will need cleaning every 4 months and hope I dont need more gell stuff put into gums or there is another $39 per tooth. Not to mention the $55 I pay each time for the cleaning. Oh, and they have a $5 OSHA fee each visit for cleaning the instruments. Here is the kicker I had my other, well trusted dentist , for 3 years never did he tell me about this so called periodontal problem. I just seen him for the final time Dec 2010 he gave me a clean bill of health. I only left him because my insurance no longer paid for him. I called and talked to my previous dentist and he has given me all my xray (no charge) and cleanings to show I DO NOT have periodontal disease. So how did my mouth become so BAD in a period of 6 months?

SCAM ARTISTS. I just got rid of these artists as my primary service providers, I also filed a grievance against them upon recommendation of the insurance company. So, here is my 3-part sad story: 1. When I walked in for the first time, they tried to get me to sign a sheet asking for an OSHA fee of $5 per visit. When asked why, they said it was to disinfect their instruments. When I asked if a sterile instrument is an option or an integral part of any service, they gave me some lip about how the insurance company does not cover the cost of that. I told them this was bogus and I said I did not want to sign that and that I was going to walk out, at this point, they backed off and said that indeed my insurance company did cover that cost. Wow!! But as I waited my turn in the lobby, I saw how they fleeced patient after patient out of $5 for the phony OSHA charges.

2. Once with the hygienist, she took a number of x-rays, she was very nice and said she would look at the film and then come start cleaning. At that point, the dentist (a real piece of work huckster) came in and started poking around in my mouth. Then, she told me to get up off the chair and advised me that I did not need regular cleaning but deep cleaning which would set me back by around $400. Thus, I walked out after wasting an hour with no preventative work done.

3. Two years ago, we had another plan from the same insurance company at that time, my wife had gone in to Oviedo Dental Center and she went through the exact same drill and walked out with an estimate of close to $1000 worth of deep cleaning. When my wife told them she just wanted a regular cleaning, they told me that the insurance company would cancel their contract if they gave her a regular cleaning, instead she had to get this expensive cleaning or nothing. Total BS!!

PLEASE STAY AWAY, IF YOU GET TOO CLOSE, THEY WILL BURN A HOLE IN YOUR POCKET FOR SURE.

Do Not Go Here. Too many fees and no bedside manner. If there is a fee to charge you out of pocket. They will find it! Why are we paying an Osha fee? Granted it is only $5.00 but in this economy every little bit counts. Must also pay with cash. Give me a break already.
