Great steaks!. Great food, atmosphere is very nice. The biggest and most important drawback, Vic doesn't care about the twosome or foursome that walks in, only the buses that come from The Villages and surrounding communities. He allows the larger communities to direct how he does his business as they provide many diners weekly. I for one won't ever go back, but not due to the staff, only the owner and son.

Friendliness and customer care don't count. Entered Vic's Embers at 5:30 after careful consideration of location for birthday celebration. Advised we would be seated in 20 minutes. After 45 minutes a bus arrived and all 30 or 40 were promptly attended to. Vic's does not take reservations and it is a first come, first serve (so they say, but I guess it depends). When we asked one person declared it wasn't his job - the bartender apologized profusely (she was the best thing about the place) - and Vic finally said we would be seated - obviously being seated after a bus would overload the kitchen and a nice birthday dinner would be a thought never realized. It was just a matter the owner not caring about the customer - for us, a celebration gone sour never to be remedied. We are new to the area but we will tell our story far and wide
