They tried to serve us spoiled meat.. This place is horrible!!! We went there on Saturday after the Carib Festival to have an early dinner. The atmosphere is very lackluster and unappealing. Upon ordering, they did not have anything that we originally ordered. We settled on two orders of oxtails with rice and cabbage. When the food finally came, the cabbage was raw (not a huge deal), but the oxtails had a thick layer of oil on top and smelled weird. In tasting it, there was no seasoning, the oxtails were as hard as rocks, and again, smelled odd. So we told the server that we could not eat this, and she offered to serve us something else. We declined and just took the food home to fix it our way. Upon getting home and putting it in a pot, the smell was overwhelming. They served us spoiled meat!!! We had to double bag it and put it in the dumpster. I thought that they would have good food, but I was sorely disappointed. We will not return to Spring Garden.

'Allo, 'Allo?. This place is to French dining what Fawlty Towers is to the hotel industry. They may treat you like a member of the family, unfortunately they are not very pleasant to each other either. The food is very disappointing, while the service is arrogant to say the least. Amazingly it was busy on one of the occasions that we visited, yet strangely three tables were left to stand idly displaying silverware and fake flowers while waiting diners were ignored and left standing. There is a great selection of wine bottles, unfortunately they are empty and used as decoration only, the contents are not available for consumption. Save yourself the trip.

Great local restaurant. This is the best French restaurant I've ever visited. We eat there at least once a month, and have friends who eat there several times each month. The food is always scrumptious, and they treat you like part of the family instead of just a customer. The wine selection is great. It's off the beaten path from the tourist areas, so it's usually locals and seasoned visitors who eat there.
