Classy Nails
On Thursday, August 30, 2012, I went
here for a pedicure. I have been coming to this nail shop on and off for approx 4 years. This day did not turn out as I expected. My pedicurist (the man) was very distracted for some reason. As I was sitting in the pedicure seat, I was reading a magazine to occupy myself while he perfomed the service. Then, it hurt like hell becasue he cut my big toe (left) and it began to bleed. He continued with the pedicure and even polished my toes around the blood.
He had me get up and sit in another chair with my feet near a fan to dry, all the while coming back to sop up the blood. Then, he told me I was done and I told him I was not leaving until he cleaned up the blood. The entire time, he never apologized or even acknowledged that he cut me. I could see by the expressions on the other clients faces that they were horrified!
I went home, disgusted, and for the next 2-1/2 weeks tended to my toe by soaking it and cleaning it with peroxide and then antibiotic creams. I went to the doctor for treatment and took pictures of what happened to my toe. I then went over to their nail shop and showed them my bandaged toe along with the horrible pictures of what happened after I got home. Did they respond well??? Did they acknowledge the problem??? The answer is a big, fat, NO! Instead, they tried to explain to me how I was cut and why they cut the way they do. Again, no apology, no acknowledgement of what they did.
I wholeheartedly DO NOT recommend this nail shop to anyone. My tone would have been very different if they showed the least amount of care and concern from the very beginning. And to make matters even worse, they live in my neighborhood just a block away, and they know me!
