In The Center of the Action.
Every community needs a Market Street Cafe. In fact, it was the desire of the Disney people when they designed downtown Celebration that the restaurants would face the lake and the main square where the action centered.
Since the town started in 1998, Markey Street Cafe is where you can sit inside or outside and watch the artificial snow fall in December and the fireworks in July. The menu has sixty comfort food items like meatloaf and bugers.
You don't just walk your dog in downtown Celebration, you dine with the dog by the sidewalk. Half the fun of nightlife in this small town just minutes from Walt Disney World is the ability to eat good food and watch the entire town go past.
Sleek gourmet diner in the heart of Celebration..
In Short
The art-deco decor is a re-creation of an old-fashioned eatery, while the cuisine is an inventive play on favorite comfort foods. There won't be any leftovers with the open-faced meat loaf sandwich smothered in tomato and caramelized onions and served with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. The salmon burger, a thick steak topped with tart citrus-tartar sauce, is excellent. Max's menu also contains a good variety of salads, pastas and rotisserie items. For dessert, try the chocolate souffle.
