Unreal!!. My favorite restaurant of all time now. Service, Food, everything was great. Waiter recommened a beer "Orange Bloosome Pilsner" which is now my favorite beer, wish I could find it in Alabama. Wish I could eat here weekly.

Terrible! So disappointing. We had very high expectations coming in to a signature restaurant. The place looked nice and we could smell the oak burning for the grill. After that, non-stop disappointment. Soggy lettuce with pieces of cheese the size of a bar of soap. Ice-cold fish. Undercooked scallops. Re-heated risotto. Paper in both of our desserts, and a strawberry that had been coated in salt for no apparent reason. The best thing we had was the kids' fish sticks. Wouldn't have liked this meal for $5, but for the price we paid it was a travesty.

Flying Fish Cafe. We were just in Disney and ate here just two nights ago and I just have to tell you it was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had. The mussels in a pesto sauce for an appetizer were out of this world and you got plenty to eat. Then I had the potato wrapped red snapper with this sort of Asian inspired dark sauce and I was in heaven. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very rich and modern. If it hadn't been our last day of vacation we would have been back to the Flying Fish again. Make reservations early because they are very busy.

High Quality Restaurant. This was the highlight of our vacation to Disney World in 2004. We stayed at the Beach Club resort and I will tell you that although the prices can be expensive for the moderate wage earner, it was well worth it. We actually went 2 times within 6 days during our vacation. The waiter we had (Bob) must've been moonlighting from his regular occupation at a comedy club. We loved him! His sense of humor and friendly disposition was really the reason we came back the 2nd time that week. The food was mouth watering and the service top notch. All in all, this restaurant had it: stellar service, delicious cuisine, and a romantic ambience. Don't worry, this place is excellent for kids too. You must get there early though to get a table...they are BUSY!

I wrote that review last year. We just visited the Flying Fish again this spring (April 2008). We found Bob, the waiter. We didn't know his name back in 2004, but learned it this year (ergo the insertion). Again, the restaurant didn't disappoint us. The food was mouth watering and of course, service was extraordinare. We won't be back for another 4-5 years, but you can bet this place will be on our list of restaurants to dine at.

Boardwalk Romance.. At a table with my baby is where I will be. Not only do you fall in love with Disney's Boardwalk Resort that gives off good ol' Americana feel but its just a great place to hang out and enjoy some good eats. The resort itself is captivating (I recommend it especially around the Holidays) but indulging in one of its greatest restaurants, The Flying Fish cafe enhances your experience. My first experience with the Flying Fish Cafe was four years ago at Thanksgiving and a most enjoyable one at that.. and no we didn't have seafood for thanksgiving, we had turkey with all the trimmings. As much as you anticipate it to be seafood restaurant, the restaurant provides variety to those who stick their noses up to the delectable treats of the deep.. so even if you are allergic to seafood, you can still dine there. The ambiance of the Flying fish is romantic, its dimly lit tables is appealing to those who like an intimate dining experience. A two thumbs up for first daters or those who like a great finale to a perfect day at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Fly on in!. The Flying Fish Cafe at the Boardwalk Resort is tops at Disney! We have enjoyed good mussels and excellent soft shell crab and tuna tartare appetizers. Main courses included an average potato encrusted salmon and delicious, citrusy salmon with fresh tomatoes that is tops. They also have a kid's menu, and the restaurant is (like all of those at Disney) is informal enough. Desserts included a forgettable valhrona chocolate souffle and a fabulous award-winning banana napoleon that was not offered on our most recent visit (although a key lime dessert made us forget that... ) The service was excellent during the meal, and as an insider's tip, I would recommend sitting in the long, tiled counter in front of the open kitchen. You will not only get a good meal, but can watch your food being cooked in front of your eyes and can talk to the chefs as well.

3 Seafood Dishes is not a Seafood Restaurant. I went to the Flying Fish Cafe a good seafood meal. Imagine my disappointment when I only saw 3 seafood entrees on the menu.

Tuna tartar is was a fine starter, scallops were well cooked over an oak fire. However, the ony other seafood choices were sauteed Mahi Mahi and fried Halibut. No shrimp, no shellfish, no other item fire roasted.

Why is it so hard to find a good seafood restaurant in Florida? This place got a 27 in Zagats, which means you probably won't find anything better in Orlando.

As the name suggests, this BoardWalk eatery serves up seafood with a distinctly American flair.. The Scene
Expect excellent and high-energy service that's in keeping with the decor, based on a 1920s-era theme park complete with a ferris wheel replica and fish sculptures suspended from the ceiling.

The Food
Begin with the crusty, chewy sourdough bread, followed by the Flying Fish sampler, a selection of snapper with capers in a vinaigrette dressing, a disappointing rock shrimp roll that was a little heavy on the mayonnaise, and a delicious crab cake with a hint of onion and parsley. The pan-roasted tilefish, its sweet meat accented with a chervil creme fraiche, is a typical entree. You might also find a daily special, such as spice-crusted tuna and potato-wrapped snapper, a signature dish. End it all with the renowned lava cake, a delicate pastry that explodes with a rich chocolate liquid, and look forward to a stroll in the moonlight along the Disney-created BoardWalk.
