Abysmal service, lack luster food and a very bad experience.

This was my first time at this restaurant and what a disappointment. Let me first state that I am a world traveler who was raised in San Francisco. I have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in the world and this was not one of them. It all rested on the polenta. My entree had polenta on it. The rest of the group were served their entrees and I was told the polenta would be ready in a few minutes, and then our server disappeared never to be seen again. I sat while the entire table ate and finished their meals. When I was able to get the servers attention I was told the polenta was still not done, they had been cooking it since 10 am that morning. Now I have made polenta before and it does not take 4 hours. I ended up leaving hungry without my entree and I was the one that mentioned to the manager that I never received my entree. The manager graciously took it off the bill and then gave me a coupon for a free appetizer on my next visit. I would rather dig my liver out with a dull spoon than enter that restaurant again. From what I heard the others had fine meals but I can not attest to that. Don?t waste your time or money.

• Pros: Since I was never served my entree I have no pros. The others enjoyed their meals.
• Cons: Very unprofessional, slow to no service, I have never seen someone at the table not served their entree when the others are served.

Good Time at the Portobello Yacht Club April '05!

The Portobello Yacht Club is a very busy restaurant in downtonwn Disney but worth the wait. They have great appetizers and excellent food & deserts. The prices are very fair. My wife and daughter really enjoyed the dinner and had a special treat when the General Manager Glenn McLane treated us to a special espresso Ice Cream dessert. WOW! TIP: Try and make reservations over the weekend!
