Big names in a small venue.. The House of Blues is a great place to see big name artists in a small, intimate atmosphere. If you get there early you can even stand right next to the stage and see the band up close.

Books national bands and local talent and presents them in a comfortable, spacious environment.. Center Stage
This multi-level venue has plenty of space to roam about, even during the most crowded shows. The room focuses on the mammoth stage that is elevated just enough so that it can been seen from just about any angle. However, since the main bar located at the back of the facility is usually the only one open, be prepared for a long wait.

Musical Cross-section
Since the capacity is upwards of 1500, the House of Blues is a popular stop for a huge cross-section of national talent. Shows over the past few years have included The Cramps, Link Wray, De La Soul and Duran Duran. Also, the Orlando music scene is supported by a series of local band nights.

Who Goes?
As the House of Blues is on Disney property, there will always be an influx of tourists blindly wandering into any show with a "brand name" performer. However, since the bands that play here come from every style and strata of music, the crowd here is what you would expect at any similar venue.

Where's the Chairs?. I'm only 30 so I'm not crippled yet, however, standing for six hours kills me. Can I have a chair with my concert please?

blondie. HOB Rocks! I like it for concerts because it's not like an auditorium, where most of the seats are so far away from the stage that you need binoculars. There is not a bad "seat" in the house. It isn't far to walk to get a drink, and there is a choice of seating: if you want to be where the action is, you can stand on the dance floor. If you want more room, you can stand next to it. If you want a better view, you can go to the balcony. I also like "SIN" night. It's fun to go with a group of friends, so that some will dance and some will stay by the bar. The only complaint I have is that on those nights, it seems to cater more to men.

up close. H.O.B. is a great live music venue, there is no where in the building where you arent up close and personal with the people on stage!

Concerts. The place is like a museum of art, furniture, the best sound I've ever heard in an intimate setting with the artists just feet away. The bar staff are fast and friendly and the security is impressive but will still joke with you and help out with anything you need.

The Greatest Place on Earth. The House of Blues is a must see, and be place if your living or visiting the Orlando area. HOB has the best of everything; food, drinks, entertainment and it isdefinitely visually stimulating. Do not pass it up while you are in Downtown Disney.

First Impression Lasts. This having been the first "live music venue" I'd visited in Orlando, I wasn't sure what to expect. Though it was a bit hard to find, once I arrived I was blown away. The atmosphere and staff were warm and friendly, especially the bartender who humored my request for a "self-styled" drink. Not many places will so happily serve you something not on the menu, or that they do not immediately know how to make. Another deal-breaker was the fact that HoB was handicap accessible, as I was with my sister who uses a wheelchair. The staff happily accomodated her needs as well. The sound system and accoustics were great as well, and the band could be clearly heard even while in the bathrooms to the extreme rear. All in all, my experience there was wonderful, and I definitely plan to return whenever possible.
