One of the best Walt Disney World value resorts - they just try harder!

We've stayed in all of the other Disney Value Resorts (Pop Century, All-Star Movies, and All-Star Sports) but Disney's All-Star Music has become our new favorite because they offer extra activities not found at the other value resorts - bingo (small fee), trivia contests, and pool-side movies. IIn fact, I don't believe any of the moderate resorts offer these activities either. My kids find these activities a lot of fun, especially the outdoor movie. They list the daily activities on a boad near the door of the main building. You can find the monthy movies schedule at online - just search for "Disney's All Star Music movie schedule"

The resort has a strange lay-out so it may be worth the extra money to get a preferred rooms. Some of the back buildings are a bit of a walk to the buses and food court.

The resort has two pools - the Calypso pool is the main, feature pool. They also have a smaller pool shaped like a piano. The pools are cute but they do not have water slides. The pools are not deep. I don't remember whether there was a wading pool for small children or not.

All of the resorts come with two double beds, although a limited number of units with one king bed are also available. There are some family suites at All-Star Music that can accomodate a family of six. These suites also have a kitchenette with mini-refrigerator and microwave oven. These rooms may actually cost more than just renting two standard rooms but the kitchenette might more than pay for itself by reducing the number of restaurant meals you eat.

During less busy times, the three All-Star resorts share the same buses to the Disney theme parks - when that happens, Disney's All-Star Music is the second bus stop. All-Star Sports is typically the first stop and All-Star Movies is usually the last stop.

The resort has a food court with long hours but it does not have a sit-down restaurant. There is also an on-site coin laundry.

Great Place

Wife and myself stayed at the All-Star Music Resort 15 - 21 Sep 03 (Calypso section - short walk to the lobby). Staff couldn't have been nicer - always with a "good morning", the atmosphere was excellent, as at all Disney Resorts. Originally booked at a hotel on International Drive ... it sucked (only stayed one night). Went to the Virgin Rep and asked him to get us out of there, and into a Disney Resort .. we were in our new room at the All-Star within three hours .... best move we could have made! Very good value for money. On next trip to Orlando, will only stay at a Disney resort (it's worth the extra $'s). It is a bit of a hike if your room is at the far end of the complex. Food was typical Disney fare, not that expensive. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

AVOID STAYING HERE!!!!!!

I found this hotel horrible! The disabled rooms were way away and now they actually charge extra for a close room! The furthest rooms are so far away that the first time I stayed there I thought after a good day at the park I was going to die befor I made it there! I DO NOT reccomend this hotel!!!! The last time we stayed there the music had the least buses and the most people we saw THREE buses before ONE came to us! The transportation is the worst I have ever seen!
