Editorial Review for Disney's Coronado Springs Resort – by Gayot.com

The Scene
Named for the 16th-century explorer Francisco de Coronado, this collection of hacienda-style buildings reverberates with Spanish guitars and Mexican serenades. Decor is enhanced with terra-cotta tiles and reflects the Spanish colonial architecture and design characteristics of northern Mexico and the American Southwest. The four- and five-story buildings rest on the shores of a 15-acre lake, which is home to many of the resort's recreational offerings.

The Details
The 1,967 guest rooms are not spacious. However, the hotel is generous in amenities and guest services. There are four heated pools, with the main one featuring a 46-foot-tall Mayan pyramid and twisting water slide, as well as watercraft and bicycle rentals, access to golf, beauty salon, arcade, playground and several restaurants featuring Nuevo Latino dishes, traditional Mexican and standard American fare. There's also complimentary transportation to all Disney parks and baby-sitting.

If anyone is looking to stay in Disney, this is the hotel. It's priced moderately and the hotel is beautiful. Once you arrive your welcomed by the beautiful southwestern landscaping. Just checking in I was amazed by the detail. The rooms are very nicely decorated. There were multiple pools and fountains throughout the property. The large pool area is definately something not to miss. The Aztec pyramid has a waterfall flowing from the top. I think this is also the perfect couple hotel. It was nice to walk around the lake and take in the sights. At night the pyramid is lit up. It's very pleasing to come back to after a day in the park. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the food court. It was a little too cheesy for my taste and the food was nothing to brag about. Otherwise highly recommended!

Pros: Lake has water sports, Worth the money

Cons: Food court
