HORRIBLE...Save your money! – DO NOT PAY FOR THE SEA LION TOUR. I would give it no stars, but that was not an option. Save your money because you will not be up-close with a sea lion like the title and the picture suggest. First, you go to Pacific Point Preserve and they tell you the difference between a sea lion and a seal; which can be read on the signs around the exhibit. Next, you go to where the “Clyde & Seamore” show takes place. You are asked to sit in the first two rows and then are quickly taken up to the tank, a group at the time to have your picture quickly taken. You are not allow to look at the sea lion (you keep your back towards him) and have to take a large step forward before you can walk back to your seats. Then you head back to Pacific Point Preserve where you are given a bucket of fish to feed them with everyone else. Just save your money and get to the show early to sit in the first two rows and spend $20 and get five trays of fish to feed the seals/sea lions at Pacific Point Preserve for the same experience.
Save your money for something more exciting........... – We went to SeaWorld Orlando just last week (July 2008). We also went to Disney World. Disney World isn't so hot, you feel a cool breeze as you walk through the park and you can never tell where it's coming from. SeaWorld is HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!!!!! Then, the park was overcrowded. Just to take a picture with a statue you had to stand in line. We got to see the Shamu "Believe" show which was so cheezy. I think Gulf World does a better job presenting their animals for less than half the price of SeaWorld. However, we didn't get to see any other shows since the other stadiums are much smaller than the Shamu stadium. By the time we got to the other side of the park to see other shows there would be a chain up saying the show was filled to capacity. I left feeling like I should've flushed my $276.70 for 2 adults and 2 children right down the toilet. Maybe I just should'nt have gone during peak season! I do know that I will never waste another dime on anything SeaWorld!!
A marine adventure park featuring killer whale and dolphin encounters, thrilling rides, an interactive waterfront seaport and musical venues. – In Short
In addition to its legendary Shamu Killer Whale water show, the park's complex marine and ecosystem exhibits are fascinating and educational with manatees, penguins and dolphins. Fantasy rides like the Journey to Atlantis, Wild Arctic and Kracken guarantee thrills. Key West at SeaWorld features five acres including a lagoon with rolling waves, a sandy beach, an underwater viewing area, and dolphin- and stingray-feeding. Fireworks and a fountain show cap off every night.
Great place!! – We went in April this year and had a blast. We could have spent our entire vacation at this place!! SeaWorld wasn't crowded, there were a LOT of people there, but the attractions are well spaced so you don't really notice. The admission is pricy, but the food and souveniers are reasonable. The animals looked great and the rides were awesome. I had my niece and nephew (both 5) with me and they LOVED Atlantis! The best part were the animal shows though! Especially the Shamu shows! The kids and adults both had a wonderful time and we'll definitly be going back next year!! Wish I lived in the area, I would be there everyday and probably get a job there!!
Mostly for kids, adults will like too – Sea World Florida almost seems to be the forgotten park. The park offers a more laid back approach which its competitors don't or can't offer. The park is flooded in flora and fauna, adding a ambience to the park that is tastefully done, typical of a Busch theme park, its a green-thumb's paradise. Love the animal exhibits and shows. For rides, SeaWorld is still far behind its local competitors. Journey to Atlantis is a good flume/coaster ride, with a little surprise in it. The floor-less Kraken just might be the best rollercoaster in Orlando and Florida. You do get some good G's and a few weightless moments, and since the lines are shorter, it's not unusual that one can ride more than 5x's a visit! The park caters more towards families, like most zoos, but it does need more thrill rides to compete against it's competitors.
It was Dissapointing!! – Almost all of the good attractions were closed. The Shamu whale show was very disapointing itself. Even though I was sitting in the wet zone, I didn't get wet. There wasn't alot of food to eat. What I saw on t.v and in brouchures about Sea World were totally different from what I really saw in the park. I will never waste my money or time going to Sea World ever in my life.
Come to Sea World !!! – Sea World is a GREAT place for family fun. There are loads of friendly & helpful staff available throughout the park, fabulous shows, fun educational exhibits and the park is extremely clean.
Take a few drinks with you as the concession stands offer sodas, water & juices, but they are a bit expensive. I also thought that it was a little expensive to feed the dolphins & otters ($5 buys a tiny tray with a few fish & as kids love feeding them, it becomes expensive).
The kids & I ADORED Sea World ... what's not to like with Shamu, dolphins, turtles, etc?
GO, have fun, but take a few drinks with you !!
