I picked Sonny Joseph simply because he was listed under my insurance plan's providers. From what I read online about what to expect on a first visit in general, I thought at the very least I'd be given a series of tests/analysis or at least an opportunity for in-depth discussion with feedback regarding my issue(s). I think I actually spent more time filling out the new patient paperwork and waiting in the reception area then I did with the Doctor. He did ask a few questions about why I was there as well as a few basic "vitals" related questions (allergies, medical history, etc...), but there was no real in-depth discussion and/or care plan discussed. What I left with was a referral to see a therapist, some med samples and basic instructions, and a follow-up visit scheduled for 10 days out, then a plan of one visit approx. every three months. Dr. Joesph did come across as being personable, well-educated, and professional, and his staff was very friendly, but this was not the "analytical" type of session you read/hear about and generally expect, and I'm definitely not a mental health or medical expert, but I'm not sure that the time I was given was enough for even the brightest of Doctors to reach a diagnosis and dispense medication (without any type of labw work ordered either, which really suprised me considering the possible side-effects of the meds I was given that I found after doing research on my own). I plan on trying the therapist out - hopefully that will give me the information and feedback I expected to get on my visit to Dr. Joseph. I'm not sure I'm even going to take the meds though without a more thorough examination.
Pros: decent location, friendly staff, not too bad of a wait
Cons: Not thorough, meds with no lab work ordered, no care plan

Been seeing this guy for a long time and I will keep seeing him because he writes me prescriptions in under 5 minutes. I'm lucky because I know what I need. He doesn't. He is just a hand that holds a pen. I do not respect this guy at all, in fact I find him morally deplorable. This is a revolving door racket. He is soaking up insurance company bliss. I went out and made a completely new email account with bogus info before writing this comment becasue I don't want it to be traced back to me. PROS: If you have no former doctor reference and want to experiment with meds this is your guy. Just say you had a previous doctor. CONS: He is probably making bad things happen to good people.
Pros: Easy entrance
Cons: Money monger with little regard for personal feelings
