The SceneWood and wines dominate in the main dining room, centered around a long, oval bar. Tiffany-esque lamps hang over tables. It's a bit hotter and more bright windowside. The FoodCooking over a pit of burning oak and citrus wood--an old Seminole practice--gives the steaks at this family-friendly local chain a distinctive, smoky flavor. If you don't order steak, try something pit cooked, such as chicken or pork chops, rather than the langostinos, which may pass for lobster in Chile but more closely resemble crawfish. The marbled ribeye drips juice. Be sure to spring for one of the potato…
Best ever!

My family went to Charley's while we were on vacation in Orlando. When we first walked in we thought we may be under dressed, we had been at Universal all day. But the lady up front assured us that we were fine and made us feel very welcome. My husband travels often for his job and he told me that there is no place like Charley's, he was right. Our steaks were the best that we have ever had. The server, Jackson, was very knowledgeable and pleasent. We wanted a nice bottle of wine for dinner and Jacksons suggestion was perfect. The lady from the front came over to help Jackson deliver our food and even offered to cut up the steak for my children. Then while we were finishing our huge piece of cake the same lady came by to check on how we enjoyed our meal. Come to find out the lady that had greeted us at the door, served our food, and come by to check on us was a manager! I have never experienced anything like that before, she really made us feel welcome like we were the only people there. I would go back to Charley's because the food was amazing, but the service we recieved was what put the experience over the top. Thank you for having such a great staff. Jackson and Marianne deserve a raise!
Awful Experience at Charley's Steakhouse
by pcmerry
Awful food and $$$$$$$. My petit filet was gristly, veggies tasteless and tough and salad very blah. Four of us shared a very modest ($28) bottle of wine and that was it for booze...bill, with tip , was $308. Truly the worst meal I've had in a high end establishment. From now on for me it's go with what you know such as Ruth Chris, Morton's and S&W's..even Outback can outdo this place. . My fault for not sending the entire meal back..but didn't want to make a scene so I guess I can just chalk it up (not chew it up) to a very bad experience.
- Cons: Just about everything.
