worth finding – Aki is difficult to find, mapquest it on your first visit. And yes, it is in a rather dark uninspired strip mall, but it is well worth the search.
I usually get takeout, I have also eaten in the restaurant. I have driven from hotels all over the disney /universal area, it is very easy to get to via I-4.
The food is out of this world. True sushi fans will go wild, and it also has plenty of options for the non sushi eater. The sashimi melts in your mouth.
I find myself craving it, no other sushi places compare
to it. Also, it is also very reasonable price wise; bring your appetite and high expectations. You won't be disapointed!
BEST JAPANESE EVER – I LOVE THIS PLACE, ITS SMALL, BUT I FEEL SO COMFORTABLE BECAUSE OF THE GREAT SERVICE, AND THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS, ALWAYS FRESH, ONCE YOU GIVE THEM YOUR ORDER , THEY ARE VERY QUICK TO SERVE IT, AND TRUST ME ITS FRESH, THE PRICING ON EVERYTHING IS VERY GOOD. MY HUSBAND AND I LOVE SUSHI AND WE HAVE TRIED A LOT OF GLITZY GLAMOURY PLACES, BUT THIS ONE DEFINATELY HOLDS ITS VALUE. I MOST DEFINATELY RECOMMEND IT.
Best Japanese Restaurant in Orlando. – I really love this place. I have been to several Japanese Restaurants in Orlando and I always come back to Aki. Unlike a lot of theese places that are not even run by Japanese people, Aki is all authentic. Japanese people cook the food, prepare the sushi, and do the service.
The food here is very good and its not even that expensive.
Its never really crowded there, I have pmly had to wait to sit down a few times and even then it was not that long.
If you want real japanese food, just like you were in Japan, you MUST go here.
Feels like a perfect out of the way space. – I went to this place just as they were opening for Dinner and had a great experience, they have a "happy hour" for sushi prices, The portions and prices were unbelievable, and the the taste was great. It's not a trendy or fancy place though. It's for people who are interested in getting good sushi, rather then getting paying for atmosphere, though the atmosphere isn't bad if you arn't expecting overly trendy stuff.
