Horrendous Experience.
Please do yourself a favor & stay the h*ll away from this place. We paid $35 only to get a tiny portion of lamb biryani & a dry kheema naan. The flavors were harsh & clashing, and we left there still hungry. The waiter first kept hoovering, not giving us a chance to order, and then immediately after we got our food, 3 different waiters/manager asked us how it was, not giving us a chance to taste the food & making small talk for 5 minutes while we sat there hungry. The minute we started eating, all the waiters disappeared. Our water didn't get refilled, the dirty dishes didn't get cleaned away & we still sat & waited. 2 tiny menu items for $35 & we left there hungry. Try Memories of India instead. NEVER waste your money here.
- An Indian's Review
DO NOT EAT HERE!!. This reastaurant has NO customer service. They add 18% gratuity to check even if there is only 1 person in your party. My husband and I went a yr ago. We ordered 1 glass of water, 1 glass of beer, and 1 meal each. Our meal was kinda spicy. The server left us with no refills for about 15min. Unaceptable. All 4 glasses were empty. Do Not waste your time or money.
Rip Off Be ware of the Tip Amount Included in your Check. This is not a great Indian Restaurant, food is expensive , small in quantity and expensive.....food tastes ok not great and there are other good restaurants in the city...these people are trying to cheat the Tourists by adding 15 % Gratuity to your check without even letting you know....eat something else rather than going to this indian restaurant. They even charge for Papad.....
Rip Off. This palce sucks! The food is really bad and they include the 15% service charge always. We should have checked citysearch reviews first.....lesson learned.
Avoid this place.. Good ambience. Everything else is bad. Food expensive and below average. Bad service. And then, they had the gall to include a service charge in the bill for just 2 of us, and there was nothing in the menu about this, and nothing was mentioned before hand.
Bottom of the heap.
First the good aspects ambiance, location.
Now the bad news food and service.
We ordered Chicken tikka. I was expecting it to be served on a hot skillet as it is done in most good Indian restaurants. Here it is served lukewarm on a small salad plate. The tikka was below par. The naan tasted like store-bought pita bread from the frozen section. Nothing like the authentic bread.
Appalling service. The waitress removed the plate while I was still eating off it. The wine served at the end of the meal. The wait staff was not adept & didnt even try to earn their keep. And to top it, they were not coy about adding 18% tip to the check even though we were only a party of 3.
I would give this place wide berth.
