I travel alot and have eaten in New
York, Chicago, Boston, LA, etc.. When I go I like to go to the nicer restaurants. A couple of years ago I discovered Christinis.
Everyone had told me how good it is but I was skeptical. After the first experience I have gone back at least three times, whenever I am in town.
Typically I bring business associates here and they are always impressed. The food is better than a lot of New York restaurants that I have been to and the service is outstanding.
The only downside is that sometimes the music can be a little loud if someone has a brithday or anniversary near you.
Other than that, I highly recommend it.
We had read a bunch of reviews about
this restaurant and had not been. We live in Orlando but on the other side of town so we had just never gotten around to trying it.
We were really impressed. It is an upscale restaurant but the owner made us feel right at home. You do not get that in most places that we have been to.
The food was delicious. I had the veal chop. It was amazing. We also loved the calamari and the tiramesu. It also had a really good wine menu.
The restaurant was a bit pricey compared to what we are used to spending but they give you so much food that we took a good portion home and were able to have it for lunch the next day.
We just went to Christinis again, which we do every time we are in town. The service was amazing and the food was out of this world. I love how the waiters actually walk women to the bathroom and how they give a rose to each lady. It is these little touches that keep us coming back. We have already recommended it to some of our cousins who are going to Orlando.
Great date place!. We had a great time here. Very romantic. A perfect date place. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The service was amazing and the wine selection was impressive. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
Old School Rip Off.
If you long for the seventies, Krustini's is for you. Lots of calorie laden sauces. Like high prices? Try the $67 Veal Chop!!!
But wait! Mr. Krustini will put on a show for you if he gets drunk enough. You get to enjoy him calling his servers nasty names & telling them they are losers, etc.
Or, as a customer, he may cuss you & throw you out.
Unfortunately, the biggest loser of all is the owner.
Perfect if you enjoy pushy waiters and over-priced food!.
The food was average and I felt the food and drinks were really over-priced - and my company was paying! Our waiter (Jonathon) was very pushy and constantly trying to get us to order the expensive specials, bottled water, up-sell on wine, etc. I don't appreciate that. He would poor wine for people drinking cocktails and that didn't even want wine; he either doesn't pay attention or he was just trying to get us to finish our bottle quickly so he could sell us another one! I won't go back by choice and would never go on my own dime.
I had the "Fettuccine Alla Christini" which cost almost $30 for nothing more than fettuccine noodles with some sauce - no shrimp or chicken on it. The waiter (Jonathan) tried to get one of my guests to order the $42.50 Gamberoni Fra Diavolo even after she told him she doesn't like shrimp!
It was also very loud! I was there for a 5 person business dinner and the strolling Accordion Player was too loud for such a small room; when he was near us we couldn't even hear each other.
Best Restaurant in Orlando. My company frequently visits Orlando for tradeshows and Christini's has been our number 1 favorite place to dine in Orlando for almost 4 years now. The service is excellent, food is some of the best I've ever had, and the ambiance is unlike most restaurants you'll find today. All in all I love this place and I give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!!
Wouldn't recommend. The web site for this restaurant says that Mr. Christini personally oversees the operations. The night I was there, he "oversaw" the operations by sitting at the bar, drinking wine and martinis, and then proceeded to verbally berate two extremely hard working waiters for not getting parmesan cheese to a table quick enough. You do that in the kitchen, not in the middle of the dining room so everyone can hear it. Not my idea of good management worthy of the high prices they charge. Food was good, not great, but good, not $200 for 2 before wine good, but after watching the owner in action, the food quality could not make up for the bad atmosphere in the dining room.
Overpriced, pompous restaurant with mediocre food.
I'm an easy person to please. Give me good food, nice comfortable surroundings, friendly waiters and I'm a happy guy! However once we stepped into Christini's I knew there would be none of that. The place is small, crowded, uncomfortable (at least our table was) and LOUD! Even louder were the people sitting next to us (almost on top of us). The wait staff was good and the waiter was very nice and friendly (not something I expected at all). The food was good, it wasn't great, it wasn't bad, it was just good. The waiter claimed the veal was a specialty, personally I didn't find anything special about it.
Now the good part. We had 1 martini (a $20 martini to be exact), 2 small salads, 2 entries and a dessert. Total cost $150. To be honest I would of rather paid the $150 to eat ANYWHERE else.
So if you're into pompous frilly frilly bs this is the place for you. If not then stay clear.
Editorial Review. Upscale eatery serves original dishes that blend regional flavors from Italy such as prime aged steaks, fresh seafood and inventive pasta creations.
