Editorial Review for Cafe Tu Tu Tango – by Mary Meehan
The Scene
A funky retreat housing some vividly colored decor, reminiscent of a Saharan oasis retreat. Kids will be entertained by various performances (from sword-eating to belly dancing to live painting), and since this is a party atmosphere, they won't have to be constrained to a whisper.
The Food
The kitchen serves tapas, which are intentionally on the small side and meant to be sampled by everyone at the table. The multiethnic menu features chips, dips, breads and spreads, as well as soups, salads, fried delicacies, turnovers and Oriental rolls. Try the Cajun egg rolls, filled with blackened chicken, corn and cheddar and goat cheeses, and served with chunky tomato salsa and Creole mustard, or the pepper-crusted, seared tuna sashimi with crispy rice noodles and cold spinach in a sesame-soy vinaigrette. The dessert menu includes a creamy amaretto flan and rich guava cheesecake with strawberry sauce.

food was really good, different variety and small portions averaging around $7 to $8 a dish, they were a good size to order a lot to share with friends. belly dancers are definitely a plus although I couldn't see them from where I was seated. It was a bit loud but that was kind of expected being that it is a very festive and lively place. A good place to go to celebrate an occasion or just a fun night out with friends.
Pros: Awesome food and atmosphere
Cons: Seating wasn't the best

the place itself was amazing. i even purchased a piece of art and felt that it was a comfortable atmosphere, that is until our server came. At first she seemed like a nice enough girl she even gave us free dessert but what was not okay was her constant nagging about ordering more. First off the group I was with are very picky eaters and her trying to force us to order was completely annoying. She was not even satisfied with the tip that we gave her which was rude. It's like don't beg me for money or try to guilt me into a tip, I felt the tip we gave was fine by the standards of what we bought. I don't think I will ever go there again or at least to that location in Orlando, Florida on International Drive. I love the art but the service was not welcoming. The food was okay , I guess I was just expecting something more unique.
Pros: The Art
Cons: The attitude from service
