Not a good experience. We went here for our wedding bands back in 1998 and both bought gold and white gold bands. We bought the rings about 6 months or so before the wedding but they just sat in the boxes. After we were married and started wearing the rings the white gold rubbed off. This was about a year after we bought the rings. This didn't seem right to us so we took them back. We were in for a rude awakening. They refused to believe us that the white gold came off by itself. They were rude and refused to listen to us and would say things like. You had these for over a year. You had your rings buffed? In response I would say no I did not have them buffed, why would you get your rings buffed. They just flat out would not believe that we did not get our rings buffed. There is nothing more frustrating when someone thinks you are lying and you are not. Anyway, even though it is 11 years later, you couldn't pay me to buy anything from this store and I tell anyone who is in the market my experience and to stay clear. I'm happy to say I actually convinced one person who was going to buy their wedding rings here not to. Yay! Still to this day whenever we look at our wedding bands (which are completely gold(no white gold) by the way and we never had them buffed!) I think of this experience. My husband has long ago stopped wearing his and I still do though and just try not to think about our experience.

The best experience Ive encountered!. I was looking for a unique style ring...and one day one of my friends said to go to Goldsmith Jewelry Shoppe..So my fiance and I went to see what they have and the staff were extremely helpful, they were very patient with us ... they showed me so many different selections they have in the store and I was very impressed... Still I was wanting a different look than they had showed me and they offered custom design.... The designer was amayzing. He was totally thorough with his design explanations ... He sketched up a great look ... OMG it was exactly what I wanted. I loved it so much... YAAAY Goldsmith :)

Wonderful Custom Design Experience. My husband and I have been a customer of Goldsmith for many years and for our 5th wedding anniversary he wanted to upgrade my wedding band to a diamond wedding band. We came to Goldsmith and as usual were greeted by there friendly staff. I had to have my wedding ring custom designed because of the way my engagement ring was made only a custom ring would fit it. We never had a custom design done before, so they thoroughly explained the whole process of custom design and gave us a great price, so we decided to go for it. The whole process was great because we were able to be a part of the design. We reviewed there computerized drawing, wax mold and the finished piece came out beautiful and fit my engagement ring perfect! Also the band was finished in the time that they said it would be done. The whole experience was wonderful and we will definitely be back again.

great experience. I was looking to upgrade my wifes diamond for our anniversary. I did the mall thing and didnt find anything there that impressed me, I checked a few other stores and then had a friend refer me to Goldsmith . I went there and had a great experience, purchased a very nice diamond and had a ring made. My wife wears it every day and gets comments all the time. I would strongly recommend it to all my friends and have done so.

Don't Be Sold!. We initially went to Goldsmith Jewelers only to have my ring finger measured, as my fiancé and I had planned to buy a ring through a custom jeweler in Austin. We were greeted by a friendly sales associate who subsequently “sold” us when we showed him a picture of the ring we wanted and he assured us he could make it. We decided to have the ring built by Goldsmith Jewelers because we liked the notion of being involved in the process (reviewing the CAD drawings and wax molds). Here are the problems we ran in to after deciding to go with Goldsmith: 1. The initial jeweler assured us that the “mill-grained” edge we wanted would be done by hand and therefore would not look exact to the rendering or the mold. When the ring was finished, the edge was done poorly and was inconsistent (flat on one side, raised on the other; different sized “grains” throughout); 2. One of the first wax molds was made using a setting entirely too small for the diamonds we had purchased. We pointed this out, only to have the jeweler measure the setting and confirm that this was fact; 3. The “finished” ring, had no “rhodium” finish like we had asked for; 4. They “finished” the ring, but the rhodium was darker on one side than the other and was missing altogether in other spots. The ring also had a scratch on the band (this is where the jeweler we were working with left the shop; the owner then assured us he would take over the project and fix the ring by building it from scratch); 5. Picked up the “finished” ring which, for the second time, had no “finish”; 6. The finish was done incorrectly (antique instead of rhodium); 7. The “antiquing” was done sloppily and spilled down the side of the ring; 8. The ring had a chip in the band. To date, I have merely paid for the IDEA of a ring. I cannot express to you how dissatisfied I am with this entire experience. Unfortunately, Goldsmith has an “All Sales Final” policy. I am not sure if this is standard for the industry, but it does not surprise me. We have provided them numerous attempts to make this right, and they have failed each and every time. My hope is lost and unfortunately they already have my money. I am just heartbroken over the whole experience. Needless to say, I do not recommend Goldsmith Jewelers for custom jewelry. If you're looking for a good salesperson, perhaps this is your place.

No longer a customer. They were unable to make the ring I wanted even though I was able to provide a picture. Staff were accommodating but did not seem very knowledgeable about jewelry and were willing to provide customer with a less than perfect product (scratches, etc.). They could use better quality control at the very least.
