What People Are Saying About Coggin Honda Of Orlando
Bait and Switch

Spoke with JR (sales manager) by phone after test driving vehicle. Came to an agreement on price with JR, he said come in and we could finish the deal. We arrived at dealership, spent over 3 hours and then finally went to the finance office. The deal was completely different than what we agreed to by phone. Proceeded to walk out, JR said he could do the deal as agreed. Spent another 30 minutes because the deal had changed again. We told JR we were leaving and his quote was "Fine, leave. I don't want to sell you a car anyway"

LAST WEEK MY HUSBAND AND I BOUGHT A 2011 HONDA ODYSSEY AND WE HAD THE BEST BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER. I DELT WITH ALVIN THE MANAGER AND CRICKET THE SALES PERSON. THEY WERE ATTENTIVE TO OUR NEEDS AND ALSO WORKED THE BEST PRICE WITHOUT THE GOING BACK AND FORTH. WE ALSO GOT $1000 MORE THAN WE EXPECTED FOR OUR TRADE. I WOULD RECOMMEND COGGIN HONDA IN ORLANDO TO EVERYONE!

I called before arriving and explained all circumstances to the salesman before having to waste his time and especially mine, taking into consideration that I was traveling a hour and a half to get there. They wanted to give me $4000 for my trade in that was easily worth $6,600 at any other dealership. not only that they wanted $2,000 dollars down to get me into the car I was inquiring about. Ive heard about taking a loss on car deals but this was an absolute rip off. i will never go back there again.
Horrible after the fact customer service

My boyfriend and I went to Coggin Honda Orlando to purchase a vehicle. They showed him the car and he loved it. He filled out all the finance paperwork and purchased insurance for the vehicle because you can’t drive off the lot unless you have insurance. We keep the car for a week and the salesman called and said there was a problem. We went back up to the dealership and they told us that he was not approved for financing. We were fine with this, because he has not been in his residence and job for at least 6 months since he just moved to Orlando. That was all fine. I was a little upset that they let us drive off the lot and keep the car for so long but I got over that. I never made any formal complaints or anything. The problem that I had was with the Finance department. According to my insurance company in order to break the 6 months contract with them we needed proof that he was not given possession of the vehicle. I went to the dealership and the Finance Director Robert Odel wrote me a letter. I gave the letter to my insurance company but they rejected it because it had no date on the letter. My insurance agent tried several times to contact Mr. Odel and he spoke to her at first told her he was going to add a date and fax it back to her. He never did and when she called him back he hung up the phone on her. I drove up there and ask to speak with him. He came out his office and was very friendly to me until we got in his office. Then his whole tone changed and he said he was not writing me another letter and he had a meeting to go to and he did not have time for this. I told him I totally understand that you are busy I am suppose to be at work myself. I asked him again please just write the letter I will get out of your way. He told me no. I took my papers and told him fine I won’t contact you again the next person you will hear from will be my lawyer, he said for me to do whatever I wanted to do. I was just so upset that he was making this such a big deal. It was part of his job. The insurance company is not just going to terminate a contract just by word of mouth they need proof. Anyway I went to the front desk and ask for someone over him. But the receptionist said they were all in the meeting. Mr. Odel came to the desk and once again his tone changed and told me that if I wait till he got out the meeting he would write the letter for me. About 10 minutes later he came out and put the paper on the table and told me to write the letter and he will sign it. I just could not believe that it took so much to get him to write a 2 line letter just stating that he never took possession of the vehicle and the date. This was a one month process. The purchase date was on the 2/21/09 and I fought with them on this until 3/20/09. His attitude was insane. They are all nice to you when you are signing all the papers buying a vehicle from them then after that their customer service skills go down the drain.
