Consistently very good, but heavily Americanized. Can you order a dish in Thailand that doesn't have some kind of pepper in it? You certainly can at Royal Thai. The spiciness so characteristic of Thai food is almost completely absent here. The most sensitive palates will find nothing to ever break a sweat over. If you can overlook this, though, the food is consistently very good: always fresh, always tasty. Just not very authentic. This consistency is rare. It's one of the reasons why Royal Thai is so popular. Just don't hop off a plane from Phuket and expect it to be comparable.
Don't go here.... Went to Royal Thai once, and don't even wanna go back. Red curry taste like raw coconut milk and it wasn't even HOT...it was luke warm, Yikes! and this place charges for RICE. Unbelievable!
Not as good as the reviews say!. I just arrived back home from this restaurant and I was actually dissapointed. The decor was terrible, but that is usally a given, its not the decor I'm going out for it's the serivce and food. The food was good, but not great. The service was the problem, I saw our waiter twice throughout the entire evening, once for the order and twice for the bill. Thai House is a million times better for the same price just a couple miles away!
OMG! Totally Delicious!. I brought my brother here for his birthday. He said it was the BEST Pad Thai he's ever had. We got the spring rolls, cucumber salad, the chicken satay, the yellow chicken curry, beef pad thai and chicken param. Everything was absolutely delicious! We were so stuffed but couldn't stop....I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant! The service is prompt, friendly and very pleasant! This restuarant is absolutely wonderful and I've found my new favorite place!
Thai Home Cooking. After reading the praises, kuddos and reviews of this restraurant, I decided the 20 minute drive was going to be well worth it. Well, it was ok, the reception warm, but the food was just as though you were invited to a modest Bankok home where the presentation was non existent, and many and the flavours inspid, uninteresting and below par. Watch out for the salt They have pretty heavy hand. As a New Orleanian I follow the adage if its good its good. No one said anything about OK. And this place is just OK
Best Thai Restaurant in Central Florida.. It's like being back in Thailand. By far the best Tasting Thai food in Central Florida. Any of us done any Thai cooking should know that Royal Thai uses only fresh ingridients & spices, not pre- made paste. The servers are very friendly unlike a lot of other places. Service is very prompt. Price is very reasonable. If you haven't eaten there yet, you haven't had real Thai food yet.
The Absolute Best Thai Food in Central Florida. After discovering Royal Thai about eight years ago, it has become my favorite Thai restaurant to visit. The food is spectacular! Every item I have ever ordered has exceeded my expectations. I strongly suggest you start with the Tom Yum Goong soup and a few orders of their house spring rolls. Lunch at Royal Thai is a sweet deal. For about $6 you can get a lunch portion thats just as big as the dinner meals. Royal Thai is located in a busy part of town, so traffic may be a problem. I will continue to visit Royal Thai for lunch, dinner, and carry out! The service is perfect and always friendly. If you have never been to Royal Thai, stop reading these reviews and go, youll be back to write one of your own!
YUM!!. This is one of the greatest Thai restaurants in Florida. I have eaten at quite a few and none top this restaurant for value, taste, and service. I bring all my friends/family that visit, and each of them walk away a fan! Pad Thai is a great way to break into Thai food if you have never tried it before. They even have take-out if you are in a rush!
Excellent!!!. My fiancee and I have a tradition of trying Thai restaurant everywhere we go and we total loved this one. The service was friend and courteous. The food is excellent and tasty and the view is very relaxing. You must try Sticky Rice and Mango for desert! You won't be disappointed.
One of the best. I have tried dozens of restaurants in and around Orlando and many have been good, at least on the first visit, but few maintain the quality for repeated visits. Royal Thai is one of my favorites. After dozens of visits and a variety of dishes, I have never been dissatisfied with the food, service, or atmosphere. It has become our first choice restaurant when anyone visits from out of town/state and I would recommend it to anyone for groups or even a quiet, romantic date. Have fun!
