Do Not send your child here – I can sadly say that I was once a student at this horrible place. I was there for two years before finally getting myself into a public school. First let me tell you about the lack of experience these teachers have. During my two years only two of my teachers had some kind of schooling in education. The time in which I was a student, the dean of the school was a vacuum salesman’s secretary. Other teachers were parents of the other students who attended the school. There were dead r@ts (funny how that word was blocked from being published in this website lol ) in the walls for about 3 weeks before someone came to *fish* them out. The students were required to clean the bathrooms at the end of the day due to the lack of janitors. Before becoming a school, teachers hands academy used to be a strip mall lined with stores. There are very small windowless stores. This is a bad environment for science classrooms which posed a problem with inhaling Hydro Choric Acid causing the paramedics to be called. When the paramedics showed up they said that I was faking my symptoms.

On the topic of education: They forced me, despite the fact that I had been in honors classes in a public middle school, to be placed in special ed. Where get this, 15 year olds had to learn the alphabet by doing stupid dances. When I asked to be placed in a higher level math book I was told “If you behave for a week every Friday you can look in the math book. Excuse my outburst here but WHAT THE ****They are a school. They are supposed to teach the students at all times not only as a reward.

The School lunches are another problem. The lunches were never made rather a staff member would go to chick filet and order a bunch or soggy chicken sandwiches. Then after lunch the students had to clean and mop the *lunch room* , The Playground was across the street with no fence blocking the smaller children from running into traffic. The basketball hoop was in a used parking lot, meaning that cars always drove through it. PE was done at the Dover gym which of course, because of their cheapness in building their own gym, had the students pay for the gas to transport them to the gym and the membership.

Now the money problems: They say you have this scholarship that pays off everything. Then why when the scholarship pays do the students still have to pay for their books and lunch when it is included in their scholarship plan. The school is very money hungry. I remember once for PE we had to move boxes from the assistant principal’s house to the current principal’s house. This is not a job that a student should be required to do for a grade. It is the job of a moving company.

Once the health dep. was called and the school found out. So naturally that day the students were forced to clean the place and were then put on lockdown to make it look good for the higher ups.

After getting little to no education at this school I was enrolled into a public school. Because of missing a great mount of credits for my two years at THA I was forced to retake 10th grade. Thanks to the public school setting me back on track I graduated with honors and am now in my third year of college and working steadily in the film industry. Please get your child out of that school before it is too late for them to catch up to their peers. I felt like I was different and not normal when I was at THA don’t let your child be subject to that. Thank you for reading my review. It was not written to *get back* at the school for any of their wrong doing but to educate the parents of possible future students so that their child can have a shot at a better education.

Be Aware Of Male Kindergarten Teacher. .. He is harsh and very aggresive!!! Uses a HAMMER durring His lessons! – The best thing about this school is a few kids per teacher. EVERYTHING ELSE POSES MANY QUESTIONS>>>>>????

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! – This school is a rip-off and the education is a joke especially for those who plan on going to College. They don't give you the normal education you need like they do in public schools like Boone or Timber Creek. They give you stuff that most public school students could finish in like 5 minutes. On top of that, they take away who you are with the school uniforms.

Every student is special. This is a school is great for kids who need a fresh start! – Our daughter was labeled learning disabled and she was failing in public school. We moved her to Teacher's Hands where she was placed in a special classroom for elementary students who are behind. The first year she came up 2 grade levels in reading and by year three she was moved out of the special classroom into her regular grade level. Even during that transition to a regular classroom she received special small group reading help to make sure she could be successful in 6th grade. Today our girl is just a regular kid going into the 7th grade. She loves school and is proud of her grades.

quality christian school – Teacher's Hands Academy is small but it is just like family. Every one knows you by name and who your children are. They support and help every child and parent. They have an excellent academic program. They offend provide extra educational oppertunities that other schools charge for at little or no expence to the student. If a problem should arise they are quick to resolve the problem.
