Bunker-happy course was originally designed back in 1923..
The Course
Just minutes from downtown Orlando, the Dubsdread Golf Course was originally designed in 1923 and was once home to the Orlando Open where duffers like Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, and Claude Harmon racked up wins and legends. The bunker-happy course still maintains fairways that are slim and greens that are tight and slow. The fourth hole par-5 is a wicked trip to the left that requires patience and hooking skill. Nearly 5,700 yards from the middle tees makes this a brisk course--you can rent a cart if you like--but the classic beauty of holes like the par-3 12th, with its shimmering lake (at least in the early morning) and canopiepines.
