The Scene – Part delicatessen, part diner, with plenty of Formica tables crammed into a small dining room, and a long take-out counter (adjacent to an open kitchen) occupying the restaurant's back half. TVs and newspaper clippings (positive reviews, of course) decorate the walls. – – The Food – The pizzas feature sublime, made-from-scratch, hand-tossed crusts (thin or oh-so-thick Sicilian), specially imported cheeses and a tomato sauce seasoned to perfection. Toppings range from the traditional (pepperoni and sausage) to the hip (chopped spinach and blackened…
Still good...

I dont know what these people are talking about I have been going to Alfonso's for probably about 3 or 4 years now and I think they are great. The pizza is great New York style, the wings are always cooked perfectly and with good wing sauce and good atmosphere. The prices have gone up a little but every pizza place has so they are still comparable. If you want cheap go to Hungry Howies.
- Pros: The white spinach pizza is sooo good.

There are several great pies around town this is not one of them.
New Owners, Bad Changes.

Recently, Alfonso's Pizza & More was sold, and bought by the owner of the Anthony's Pizza chain here in Orlando. With Anthony's aside, the changes they have made to Alfonso's are noteworthy-- but not in a good way.
The pizza has changed dramatically, slices won't even hold stiff with two hands. I had toppings, cheese and grease all over my hands just from attempting to eat one slice.
My partner got the meatball parmesan sub with sweet potatoe fries (which were one of their special quirks) but ended up much to his dismay. The fries were literally burned, all black with little specks of color. Definitely not edible. And for the sub, the menu stated "yes, we make our own meatballs!" The meatballs in my sub DEFINITELY were not homemade, they came straight from the bottom of a freezer.
The only redeeming qualities of what's left of the good old Alfonsos's are the pleasant servers and bar staff, and the inexplicably cheap beer and drinks.
- Pros: Service, Drinks
- Cons: Food, Pizza, Cleanliness
