Editorial Review for Alfonso's Pizza & More – by Lynelle Lawrence
The Scene
Part delicatessen, part diner, with plenty of Formica tables crammed into a small dining room, and a long take-out counter (adjacent to an open kitchen) occupying the restaurant's back half. TVs and newspaper clippings (positive reviews, of course) decorate the walls.
The Food
The pizzas feature sublime, made-from-scratch, hand-tossed crusts (thin or oh-so-thick Sicilian), specially imported cheeses and a tomato sauce seasoned to perfection. Toppings range from the traditional (pepperoni and sausage) to the hip (chopped spinach and blackened chicken). Garlic lovers should delight in the pungent white pizza, topped with mozzarella and ricotta. Alfonso's also serves a slew of appetizers, including jalapeno poppers, veggie-topped garlic bread and hot wings (the light-'em-ups will set your mouth on fire!). Entrees include cold and hot subs, calzones and strombolis, and baked pasta dishes and parmigiana dinners. Check the white board for daily specials.

I dont know what these people are talking about I have been going to Alfonso's for probably about 3 or 4 years now and I think they are great. The pizza is great New York style, the wings are always cooked perfectly and with good wing sauce and good atmosphere. The prices have gone up a little but every pizza place has so they are still comparable. If you want cheap go to Hungry Howies.
Pros: The white spinach pizza is sooo good.

This place use to be at the top of our list for pizza. It held the # 1 spot for over 12 months. (We are 5 guys who travel all of central florida in search of the best Pizza each week check out our website: the pizza snobs . com I don't know what happened to fonzies- We loved it at one time -now we won't even go near there. There are several great pies around town this is not one of them.
