Awesome ambiance, attentiveness, high priced food BUT worth the view & the tucked-away location overlooking a lake! I've been once & the experience was awesome of course. Unlike reviewer Michael L this place is excellent & I would highly recommend the restaurant to customers: new & current.

HORRIBLE. DINERS BEWARE! I should have listened to the other reviwes online. Looks are decieving: nice view but the food is bland overpriced and after waiting and hour for our entree...COLD. The service was horrible and when we asked for the manager...our server turned out to be the manager! Enter at your own risk!

Gargis Italian... Magnificent. This is a fabulous restaurant for Italian food. I love the outside patio area and they make a wonderful eggplant. I recommend them for a great night out and wonderful food.

This cozy, proper, almost secretive restaurant serves delectable Southern Italian cuisine.. The Scene


Forty seats tucked into a storefront between the sidewalk and railroad tracks. When trains pass, fresh carnations tremble in their vases on tables set with white linen. A mural fancifully depicts a gondola crossing Lake Ivanhoe, which you can glimpse from a couple of the streetside tables.



The Food


Scrumptious, with similar menus (but different prices) for lunch and dinner. The menu celebrates pasta: your choice of noodle in choice of sauce, as well as cream-based specialties such as fettuccini carbonara and cannelloni. Although Gargi's buys its Italian ice creams, it bakes its cakes. Try the Ravioli funguetto, with porcini mushrooms, cream, and parmesan. Chicken and veal alla Gargi's presents a scaloppine of each in another knockout sauce of white wine and lemon. Save room for one of the best cannoli in town.

Great Qulaity and Taste. Great food and service, try the veal and chiken combo and the shrimp scampi appetizer. Great service in a quaint environment.

bella bella...beautiful. It's a beautiful thing that my husband and I live only 3 minutes away from this authentic Italian restaurant. As we're both 100% Italian ourselves, take it from us...its in the sauce -- theirs is wonderful and so we dine there often!
