Moldon's TowingBEWARE THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS!!. I too had my car towed while visiting POM POM's Sandwicheria. The owner of RETRO RECORDS called these guys MOLDONS TOWING or MD TOWING which ever is their real name and towed my car. First of all, this owner of retro records has 2 tow away signs in poor visibility blending in with all his advertisements been displayed in his window. My friends and I (3 of us) in the car never saw the signs in the window or the faded writing in the cement block in the parking space when we pulled in to park. So not knowing that we were parking incorrectly we proceeded to have lunch. After sitting down for 15 mins, someone yelled that a car was getting towed. I didnt even moved cause I was certain that it couldnt be me, because I didnt park in a wrong spot. My friend then told me, just go out to make sure it 's not you, so I did, only to find MD/MOLDONS TOWING drag my car (unsecured) out to the street. After running over there, I told them I was the owner he then said it was $50 dollars, I looked at my car and it was just mounted on their beam with no fasteners AT ALL, my car couldve fallen off, but not only that they dragged it while it was in parking gear, which can greatly ruin your transmission. After arguing with them that I was not aware I parked illegally, the other towing guy said "oh wait its $100" I was like how did it jump from $50 to $100, he said once we take it out of the parking lot we can charge you whatever we want. THAT explains why they were so quick to tow my car and drag it out of the parking lot without fasting it so they can say its off the property and charge you the full fee. I called them on that and they just laughed...then he said I only had 20 mins to get the money or they will drive away. Keep in mind, they were fastening the car in the street when it shouldve been fastened in the parking lot. THEY ARE CROOKS!! After talking to other store owners in the shopping center they told me I was the 3rd car so far that same day towed by the same guy! It was 2:30pm and 3 cars already got towed. They told me cars get towed all the time by the same towing company in request of Retro Records. IF SO MANY PEOPLE ARE GETTING THEIR CARS TOWED BY PARKING IN THE SAME PARKING SPACE THAT SHOULD BE A RED FLAG TO THE CITY THAT SOMETHING HERE ISNT RIGHT!! My advice is to avoid going to the whole plaza period, the landlord is aware of this and isnt doing anything about it, so if you shop there eventually he is getting your money. Tell all your friends and family to avoid going in there period!!
This Business owner hired us as he was tired of his few parking spots being taken up by vehicles going to other businesses. Our towing signs were up for people to see There are set fees by the City of Orlando. This driver is no longer with our company. We are just doing our job and note that the vehicle owners are not happy about being towed and having to pay to get their vehicles back. We try to make the release as pleasant as possible.
Towed my car and damaged it.. This company towed my car from Pom Pom's Teahouse and Sandwicharea on Bumby Avenue. When I went to pick it up, the car kept stalling and the clutch did not work. My car WAS NOT DAMAGED before it was towed. The people at Muldons said they could push it out into the street, but that was about it. After that, they would not talk to me or take responsibility for what they did. They stayed in their office and laughed out loud. When I called the police, they came and suggested that MAYBE my car just happened to break down at the same time. REALLY? Then they suggested I have it towed, get it repaired and then try to sue Muldons. No help or compassion from Moldons and no real help from the police either. Now I have no transportation.
Many customers try to claim that towing companies do damage to their vehicles when in fact it was previous damage. The stinger goes between the tires and then the vehicle is lifted up for the tow. This was two years ago and this person was parked illegally on private property. Pictures are taken of our tows and we do the best we can. Several of our drivers are no longer with us because of their actions. We are a family owned business and A plus rated with the Better Business Bureau. Moldon's Towing has been in business since 1991 and we just bought it in 2008. We have had many satisfied customers, but usually only the angry ones write a comment. It is still a negative world and that's sad.
Rip off and shady businesss. Don't waste your money on these people. Go to an honest car towing company instead..
Stay away from this company and beware. They are currently being sued by customers whom they have ripped off. If you notice all of the reviews written, they are written by the owner himself and giving his company all of these 5 star reviews.
This towing company is located in the slum and is operating business as a scam. Most of their businesses are from driving around apartment complexes and looking for reasons to tow people's cars. And falsifying their "24 hour "notice on people's cars when in fact people were never notified before it was too late. And fraudulently reporting to the police dispatch that they have permission from the apartment manager when in fact that they had not. Go to an honest car towing company and don't waste your money on this company.
We are not being sued! The owners have not written any reviews only comments to clarify reviews. We are not located in the slum unless you consider Baldwin Park the slum. The complex's do request a 24-hour notice for vehicles that have expired tags, no tag, flat tires, etc. Pictures are taken. If not fixed before the 24-hour notice is up, we do have permission to take them. We are just trying to do our job.
Illegal Towing - Rude Employees. For the last year I have parked in the same garage that has a sign reading "No Gym Parking before 5PM". This being the case, it appears that this would be working hours such as 8AM-5PM. I park in the garage around 5:45 AM and am out by about 6:50AM to 7:15AM. Yesterday I came out and my car was gone. First thought was that someone stole it. Then it dawned on me that it had been towed it. I called the towing company and the guy confirmed this. I commented that it was parked legally and he said "You have to go pick it up." He confirmed that someone would be there to give me my car...for $100. I get to Moldon's Towing at 7:45 AM, knock on the door and there is no answer. I call the guy back and he says...you need to knock really loud. I proceed to do this and some guy shortly opens the door, yells "we don't open until 9:00" and slams the door in our face. I call the guy back and report this to him where he does at least apologize and say he will call the owner. I go ahead and call the owner, Mike, myself who says he will be there by 8:20. The owner should have called his employee and told him to open the door and help us, that thought did not register with him. The guy who slammed the door in our face finally opens the door at 8:20 when the owner is pulling in. Neither guy would look us in the face for a discussion, this being in my opinion because they know they are in the wrong for what they did. Unfortunately in a situation as this you have to decide $100 to theives to get my car or argue and take the chance they won't give you your car. I paid the theives who would not comment, especially the owner, he didn't even apologize for the guy slamming the door in our face or the continued rudeness. The bottom line is that these guys are theives, towing cars that are parked legally and disrupting peoples lives with no thought to the impact it may have on them. "Real" illegal parking should be handled by the issuance of a ticket, not towing. Tow Co's s/b used at wrecks.
This is almost 3 years old and the Company's name is incorrect. They have a contract with the Gym and there is a sign posted. Your vehicle was illegally parked. Sorry for the rudeness and that employee is no longer with us. Tow company's do the job they are hired to do and take alot of grief. If people would just read signs, no one would be having problems (except the towing company not making the money).
Worst Experience Ever. Having to deal with this company was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. He had already towed one of my friends vehicles and was about to pick up another one when we came outside. When he saw us, he hurried to make sure he got the vehicle lifted before we could get to him. Both vehicles were parked in spaces clearly marked "VISITOR". He was immediately rude to us when we walked up and refused to do anything except be rude and escalate the situation. After more arguing, he eventually left and saw us leave to pick up the other vehicle that had already been towed. Knowing we were going there and that he was the only one working, he went somewhere else and we had to call him when we got there to come and release the vehicle. He eventually showed up with the same horrible attitude that only led to more frustration and arguing. He would not allow me to pay for my friend's car that had been towed because he said his name had to be on the card even though he had just seen my friend's ID that proved he was the owner of the vehicle. He refused to give us his name or any type of employee number and the number you can call to complain is just his cell phone. We did learn from over hearing him on the phone though that his name is Jeff. I talked to my apartment complex and they said that they have had multiple complaints from people who've had to deal with Jeff and that they would look into changing companies, and I really hope they do because he is a horrible human being.
All visitors of this complex are required to have a pass. Jeff is no longer with our company. This complex has had trouble with people parking there and going to area businesses. We are just trying to do our job. We try not to be rude unless the vehicle owner gets belligerent.
Horrible towing company. No surprise here, Moldons Towing is owned and operated by the same piece of work who owns MD Towing. Snatched my truck from a PARKING SPACE because one wheel was on the grass. The space was not marked "No Parking" nor was it a handicap spaces, or had those nice little neat diagnol yellow lines, that lets you know you cant park there. $110 later i got it back. I'll be reporting them to the city, and also to The Orlando Sentinel. LOSERS like this shouldnt be able to operate in Orlando.
WOW--some people don't follow the park rules and then the towing company gets blamed. NO parking on the grass or the street--immediate tow which is in their lease. Our office is not in a old mobile home. We are near Baldwin Park and in a home/office along with other office buildings on that street.
