Uniquely warm Floridian atmosphere and the best drag and diva shows in town.. The Scene
There are several gay dance clubs in Orlando, but perhaps none with such a warm Floridian atmosphere as Southern Nights. Though they sometimes provide their own dancers, there's always ample room on the dance floor to experience the humidity of the club's namesake and then cool off in the Parisian streetlight-garnished, open-air courtyard.

The Draw
The club stages some of Orlando's most popular drag shows and games throughout the week. Monday night is Latin night, and everything from the music to the drag queens are salsa-flavored. On Sundays, Southern Nights breaks out the charcoal briquettes for a barbeque by sunset. Friday nights are notoriously for the men and Saturday is for the ladies--the infamous Lesbo-a-Go-Go night.

Steamy Nights, Hot Men. The club has a good atmosphere. Theres a good size dancefloor, usually intensely hot and packed, and I mean both the clientele and how it gets in there after dancing...which isn't that bad because clothing starts coming off. =o) The music is ok, I prefer more techno/trance, but they mix it around for the diverse crowd. However, I think the music in the backroom is better. The backroom also provides a less crowded and cooled-off alternative to the stuffy main room, and it makes a nice place to escape. The patio bar is a good social area to meet people. The staff is very efficient and serves up drinks pretty quickly and pretty strong, just the way I like it. Thursday nite college nite is a great way to meet people who just might be in one of your classes!! ;o)

Southern Bi Choice. The bar has been around for a long time. It has had a mixture of straight, bi, lesbian, and homosexual clientele. The only thing to be weary of are couples who might come in and try to "score".
