Extremely Horrible Service and chase after for tips – They had the nerve to chase after and ask for more tips. That is such a horrid service. I have NEVER ever been to a restaurant where they would come after me asking for more tips when a little amount of tips already been placed on the table. The reason for small tip that was on the table because there was no greetings when we walk-in and there was no asking if we would need anything else during our meal. Bad service and the foods is ok though. Just be VERY aware when you go there.

Now they are pushing 15% mandatory tips! – I used to go there a lot. The kimchi and Kalbi were good but they have slipped a lot. The side dishes have changed. they no longer give you a nice selection. They never asked if you needed anything during your meal. They have gotten much more expensive. The final straw to eating there anymore was yesterday for lunch. I ordered the Sam Gyap Sal and a coke. The bill was $38. They added 15% tip charge to the bill. The total was $44.91. I left them $44. The waitress actually called me back and insisted on the $44.91 and had an arguement over the tip. No more Shin Jung!

I recommend Gohang Gip. The BBQ is OK. But they treat you better and appreciate you business. Great JaJang Myon and Bibimbap

Great Korean Restaurant – First, it was my first time ever having Korean food. However, my boyfriend is half Korean and has family over there. I treated him to the meal. So I will begin by saying a couple of things about the poor reviews for this restaurant. First, the service was excellent. And with excellent service, one does not tip 10%.

The food was delicious, but be aware that this is not an inexpensive experience. But that is because the portions are big. You will not be able to finish, especially if you order an appetizer like I did. I had the seafood pancake as an appetizer and some bulgogi as the entree. It was by far the best food I have had in a while. Also, the rice nectar is refreshing and after the meal they give you slices of cantaloupe.

While hidden in a tucked-away hut on Colonial Drive, this tiny Korean barbecue stands out in Little Vietnam. – In Short
Korean transplants, white-collar workers and karate students from the next door martial arts school are among the fortunate few who've discovered this Colonialtown hideaway. The exterior is inconspicuous-- look for the green awning and sign reading "barbecue." Inside, find families grilling their own meats and vegetables on table-tops grills surrounded by an array of Korean side dishes known as banchan, which include the obligatory kimchi, spicy fermented cabbage and turnips. The rice is sticky and slightly sweet, and the hot woo-rong tea is bold and addictive. From the grill, try the kal bi marinated beef ribs, or for the more daring, some un-marinated cow tongue. The bim bim bop--whether cold or sizzling--is a satisfying conglomeration of barbecued beef, cucumbers, mushrooms and sprouts topped with a fried egg.

The best and, unfortunately, the only Korean BBQ resturant in Orlando – Having spent over a year in Korea I am very familiar with it's people and their food, and this is the best Korean restaurant in the area, hands-down. Unfortunately, it?s the only true Korean restaurant still open in Orlando (I think the other closed 2 yrs ago) that specializes in real Korean BBQ?they actually have gas grills built into most of the tables. The BBQ meals all come with endless authentic side dishes; some may take a little getting used to (like cooked jellyfish) and vary with each visit. Making wraps with fresh lettuce is fun and healthy. All the food is well seasoned and very tasty. I usually order the galbi, my wife likes the bibimbap.

It?s very small and easy to miss if you don?t know where it is. The owner and entire staff is Korean and the decor, although kinda ?rustic?, is as authentic as the food?definitely worth the trip, especially if you?re already in Orlando. The clients are 95% Korean. No reservations so get there early. It gets packed on weekends and I?ve seen people wait over an hour to be seated, and well worth it. Pleanty of parking in the rear.

BTW, I read the other reviews of this place and I can?t imagine how it received two low ratings out of six. Okay, maybe I've become used to less than excellent service in most resturants, but my Japanese wife and I have always been treated like royalty when we go there and the ?meal? is more like a feast!

Be careful with the tip charge in Shin Jung resturant. The owners got upset when we left a 10% tip in the moment of paying the check. The manager or owner, came to our table and ask us to leave 15% tip in a very rude way. Tip is not mandatory, if the service is bad, they still asking for the 15% of tip. It is a shame, because the food and place are great.

There should be another Korean BBQ places in Orlando.

Best Pork Bul Go Gi, and Kal Bi, Authentic – My boyfriend (Korean) took me here for the first time a month ago, and I left fuller than ever before. The BBQ is really fresh and the side dishes are yummy. The kimchi is aged which I guess is the way it is supposed to be. The Kal Bi ($18/dinner) and the Dae Ji Bul Go Gi($14/dinner) are my favorites and the tea is really good. Be sure to ask for lettuce and garlic to wrap your bbq the right way. At the end they serve you an orange slice which completes the meal perfectly. Best in FL I've been to so far! (aside from my boyfriend's cooking of course :))
