DELICIOUS. This is the best pizza in Orlando. I have lived here for most of my life and dined out quite a bit. This is BY FAR the best pizza joint in Orlando.
New owners, quality is deteriorating. I use to love this restaurant and gave up commercial Pizza delivery because it was so good. After 4 opportunities under the new ownership, that is somehow permitted to keep the name, I have been nothing but disappointed. It is okay but not awesome as it use to be. The service is okay, it is defintely the quality of the pizza (not as authentic NY style pizza) and even the wings are now just greasy.
Authentic Pizza, Best in Orlando. My family & I have been going to this place for years & I have never tasted a better pizza then theres. We always order there XL Calzone which the pure size of it can feed an army,lol... But the garlic knots are to die for. We love there staff, they are so friendly & enjoy eating there. Other than the fact that they need a bigger space, they need not change a thing.
horrible customer service.... and so much more..... for lil anthony's in winter springs. Well first off. I've read a lot of comments on here & I see a lot of NY/NJ people go here to eat pizza because it's as close as you're going to get down here. & I have to agree on that part, as a native NYer being down here 4 years I've found this place to be good with their pizza, but honestly thats where it stops especially the last few orders. Tonight I ordered dinner and they told me a 1/2 hour for pick up so i got there 5 minutes early and had to wait an additional 20 minutes for my food (when i got there they didn't seem to even realize they needed my order) Then when i got home the chicken from both dinners were tough (hard as rocks) and dry- I had a hard time cutting the chicken and even chewing it. Then I call them to ask if they have a new cook that they should watch how long they're cooking the food. well the customer service was horrible the girl who answered the phone did say sorry (with a hint of attitude) & then asked "well what do you want me to do about it" I then replied "I don't want you to do anything" I was just so annoyed. So then my fiance called back because he's more level headed then I, & spoke to a manager that pretty much gave him a hard time. They did give us a 25% discount on our next order but i doubt we'll order again. We have noticed the decline in the quality of their food (i know the economy is bad for everyone right now - but if we're paying more $ then quality should still stay the same) the caprese salad used to be GREAT, as expensive as it was i would order it almost every time. In the past 8 months the quality has gone from 100% to about 45% I will not order that salad anymore. NOR after this evening i probably will not be ordering from them ever again. I've found another pizza place near my job that is even more "NY Style" so on my way home i'll stop there instead. So basically my last words are going to be go to lil anthonys only if it's your last choice of food. quality & customer service is not what it should be!
3 Strikes.... (0 STARS!).
As a recent transplant from NYC- I was excited to find a "New York Syle" Pizza Restaurant near downtown Orlando. Tried the Pizza and must say.... Its alright- no big complaints about the Pizza itself.
However, visited the restaurant and was a little grossed out. Very dirty and you can tell the era its from by the tacky grease covered "star" 8x10 badly framed glossys on the wall. (It would make sense if they were all at least NY'ers- but you have Charlies Angels (in their hot pants) next to Patrick Swayze....) A coat of paint and a little updating would go a long way... Wouldnt take much.
Reason for the 3 strikes.... When you call to order "to go"- you are greeted by a very rude young lady over the phone- I am from NY and find people to be nice/friendly.... so no excuse....
Delivery wait was over an hour so picked up.... Got there- mysteriously no record of my order.... OK, so I wait a half hour- get a Pizza- (write it off as "hey, it happens")- 2nd time.... Rude girl..... Get there (they said 40 min- we gave them 45)- No Pizza... They say 2 minutes.... 20 later- I get the Pizza. Time # 3 and last- You can guess what happens.....
Honestly, sooooo done with them.....
Thank goodness Del-Dio opened up nearby... They are good/ on time and really nice.
Goodbye Lil Anthony...... For good.
The biggestg in town. We stopped by to get a salad and a calzone. They brought out the biggest salad and a monster calzone. I was very impressed. And it was very tasty. I will be going back.
If you came from NY/NJ area .... ... this is the place for back home style pizza ... I've been living in FL for years and missed the back home pizza ... BUT now that we have found Lil' Anthony's, we have it here in FL ...
GREAT PIZZA FOR FLORIDA.
Great pizza for Florida area. We're from NJ, and the pizza here is the best in the country. Antonio's comes close to it.
We ordered take out and it was on time.
Note that restaurant is small and also has an outdoor seating area. It is in a shopping center in downtown Orlando---somewhat of a distance from Disney World.
If near, we recommend it.
Hand-tossed pizzas pack a flavorful punch at this local Italian mainstay..
The Scene
The pared-down ambience evokes a local slice stand: Basic booths run along a mirrored wall, elevated TVs tuned in to news and sports flank the restaurant and cardboard takeout boxes and beer bottles decorate the tables.
The Food
This is above-average pizza-parlor fare. The hand-tossed dough and fresh toppings make for tasty pizza, calzones and stromboli. Bite into the special calzone--sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, mozzarella and ricotta tucked into a perfectly crisped crust--for an ooey, gooey, baked piece of heaven. The garlic knots make for a savory start (ask for a side of marinara to make them even better); and the salad--iceberg lettuce, pepper rings and fresh onion--is light enough to order with everything.
Great!. Food was Delicious!! I come up to Orlando every so often and when I do you can be sure when I go out to eat I only go here. Can't wait to go back!
