The Scene – For an intimate dinner, no place beats Cafe Trastevere--outdoors in the summer, under a tree twinkling with white lights, or indoors in winter in front of a blazing fire. Service is low-key. – – The Food – Depending on the season, you might find crab and corn bisque alongside Caesar salad and granola-topped berry crisp as an alternative to tiramisu. Penna alla Gorgonzola combines chicken, mushrooms and roasted red peppers in a cream sauce as delicious but not as decadent as you might imagine. If you like your scaloppini batter-dipped and mild, try veal…

I have mixed reviews about this restaurant. Food-Great, Serice-the worst!, Ambiance- Great, cleanness- not so much. I would return though seat my date outside.

I was skeptical about trying out Cafe Trestevere after reading a few of the prior comments, but heard about it through a friend who reccomended the place. I am glad my husband and I went to see it for our selves. The food was great, the atmosphere was indeed romantic, and I would certainly recommend this restaurant to a friend. It was a little overpriced and the service was good not great, but I would most certainly return. Thought I would share my experience with others considering I often look on city search before dining at a new restaurant. Check it out for yourself, you shouldn't be disappointed.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: little pricey
Simply Amazing!!!

I have read some mixed reviews on here, including some not so pleasant ones just before mine. I don't know where that person was but it certainly wasn't Cafe Trastevere in downtown Orlando. The 2 reviews before mine seem intentionally made up! I have been a customer for ages and they have been consistently great. Food is always amazing matched with a great atmosphere and service. My wife and I have never been disappointed. Considering the great menu and wine list, the place is actually a bargain.
I've been to many Italian restaurants throughout the US and Cafe Trastevere certainly stacks up.
- Pros: ambience, chicken marsala, service, etc.
- Cons: Not open Sunday
