Come gush over the city's most recognizable view..
Overview
The ornate fountain that sits at the center of the park's namesake lake constantly shoots water upward in a picturesque display. At night, it's illuminated and becomes one of the city's most welcoming sights (particularly for night owls driving home from the clubs and bars). The park's wide walkways and iron-and-wood docks provide great views of the water and its avian population.
Features
There are several picnic tables for dining, as well as a number of well-kept playgrounds for the kids. Paddleboats are also available. The flowers and plants surrounding the walkways are thick and vibrant in color, making strolls that much nicer.
The Jewel in the Center of Downtown. Lake Eola is the centerpiece in the revitalization of Downtown Orlando. With a Large center lake that has an amazing fountain, swan boat rentals, and plenty of Ducks and actual swans calling Lake Eola home, it's a must see for a relaxing evening or casual weekend. This park is excellent for a romantic stroll overlooking the illuminated fountain at night, or a casual run or walk around the lake. Look into attending "Shakespeare in the Park" plays at Lake Eola's amphitheater, or bring the children to the playground. After walking around quench you thirst or feed you appetite at the great restaurants that overlook the park.
A Downtown Landmark. Lake Eola park is an Orlando landmark. Great for first dates or kids' parties.
As it should be. Lake Eola Park was designed to allow locals a great down town venue. Teir mission was accomplished!! It's a great place to take the family for a day and the festivals are great. Personally, I find myself go there alone quite often to walk around the lake or just laying in the grass listening to the fountain.
