The Scene
Located on Orange Avenue in the center of downtown, Tabu attempts to repent for its previous life as the uber-cheesy Zuma Beach Club and restore some of the glory to this former location of the historic Beacham Theatre. A beach theme is somewhat still in effect, but the renovation makes creative use of the venue's expansive interior--there's a main floor and a fairly large upstairs lounge--with a stylized art deco-meets-Egypt concept throughout.
The Draw
Weeknights mainly spotlight mainstream house-dance and hip-hop, while weekends feature underground DJ talent. Special events include national superstar DJs, live bands and celebrity appearances. Hungry guests can order from the sushi menu, smokers can pull out cigars, and drinkers take delight in an extensive champagne, beer, martini, Scotch and fine-wine selection (with bottle service). Separate VIP areas for the beautiful people. The Bonkerz Comedy Club is also located here.

Why does this place still exist?! There has never been a more horrible atrocity in the city of Orlando. This bar and the violence and awful music associated with it has single handedly slowed our progress in becoming a real, respectable city. Thanks Tabu, now please die.

so if you like banging fat chicks, this is the club for you. as soon as the DJ calls for all the "s*xy single ladies" they all herd up to the stage for you and throw their fat around. i hate that even though there is a dance floor, you cant dance or move anywhere. A. Because there are too many people B. because the guys crowd you in and try to grind on you. Not to mention th guys are not that great to look at. mostly ethic, with no game, but never fear the white guys are sometimes the worst. the bartenders ony know drinks they learned from their previous hick cocktail bar, so never expect a "surfer on acid", "red-head sl*t", or "bl*wjob." the music for the most part is fun and will have you moving, granted there aren't any horny guys hanging around. mostly contemporary stuff you hear on the radio but it is more appealing than underground would be for a dance club so i do give kudos for their hip/hop, techno music seletctions.
