I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE!

by stxjhl at Citysearch

This practice has a ridiculous policy of charging you for an appointment that was made 6 months ago with no follow up call to reconfirm the appointment. My son had moved away from Winter Park and was still charged for an appointment that was not confirmed. Nor did they try and call him.I tried to talk to the girls in the billing dept and found them to be rude. My son was very unhappy with the doctors too.

They were not through in their diagnosis and very unhelpful in finding solutions for his problem.

I cannot recommend this practice at all

couldn't recommend Sr. and Jr. more !!!!!!

by MyFatherWhoSeesMe at Citysearch

I couldn't recommend both doctors Samano Sr. and Jr. more. Not only are the brilliant factually but are caring, a combination not found in a vast majority of medical providers. They also treat you like a thinking person, not in the "me know everything/you know nothing/you mindlessly do what i tell you regardless" that i have experienced from most doctors and nurses (especially those in hospitals).

Response to rude receptionist: they have always been good to me ---- but perhaps i am able to understand the times they might be short and "rude" because i have worked in medical offices myself and understand the situations that can create a seeming rudeness ....... like emergencies coming up, being inundated by unexpected urgent/emergency appointments and back-logs.

Response to costs: it is a good idea about reducing cost of appointment if paying in cash. I wonder if anyone has offered this idea to them? If you can meet with the physician's assistant about your problem, that reduces the cost, too.

Dr. Samano II Puts "care" into Healthcare

by Susan Christian at Citysearch

Dr. Samano II has been my Dr. for many years. I cannot imagine a more caring Dr. to trust with my health. He takes time to really listen to his patients. He is always willing to answer my long list of questions.

Because he is willing to spend time with each patient, I know to plan on a bit of a wait, but don't mind because I know he is giving his other patients the same attention he gives to me.

The P.A. (Nick) is also a caring and excellent health professional. When I have seen him, I had almost no wait, and he made a point to work with my schedule.

I would certainly reccomend Winter Park Family Practie to anyone.

  • Pros: Takes time with each patient and really listens

UPDATE: BEST DR. IN TOWN & NEW RECEPTION

by colefam at Citysearch

Please let me preface;

1. I dont trust 99.9% Doctors, Nurses, or those in medical field including dentist!

2. If I need to see someone, there is a really good reason why! I AM REALLY ILL!

With that said, that .1% can be found at WINTER PARK FAMILY PRACTICE. I have been seeing Dr. Todd now for almost six years. She is about the only one I trust!. She is straight forward and been on target every time! Dr. Todd was the only Dr. that I have had in over 20 years of migrain headaches that did anything about them besides give me pills or shots at the hospital.

Mary, her nurse, is fantastic! Personality wise and technique is great! She's one of the few I have met who can do LAB draws on me or my wife without us looking like we lost a fight with a cactus!

The reception has greatly improved! They are protective of their Doctors, but that is what I would expect from them.

I would have to say, if I ever have to go looking for a new Doctor and Staff, it will be a long and hard search!

  • Pros: Best Medical Care I have ever received!
  • Cons: She's only there part time -- but I can live with that!

NOT HAPPY

by printchik at Citysearch

My son & I have seen Dr. Watzman for 20 plus years. Because I do not have insurance we are being charged $100.00 a visit. I know insurance companies do not pay but $30.00 a visit and with copay that would be a total of $60.00 or less. I am paying today not in 30 60 90 days.

I am an established patient for years why cant I get a break? For Cash
