okay sushi

Sushi is kind of hard to screw up so in my experience the quality usually comes down to presentation. We sat at the bar so we could watch the owner/chef make our food. He was very friendly but seems a little inexperienced.
- Pros: owner is friendly
- Cons: needs to work on presentation
Friendly, but sushi is pretty bad

I just wanted to try a new sushi restaurant out since I have been to pretty much every one in Orlando, and the surrounding areas, yet I had not tried Saikyo. First off, the owner was very nice. I placed my take-out order after waiting for a little bit. I had a eel roll, spider roll, and white tuna sushi. The eel roll was the worst i have ever had. They are very stingy with their eel, there was little eel on the pieces and a few didnt even have any eel on them. When you eat it you really dont even taste eel, all you taste is avacado and cucumber (mostly avacado)....it was really weird. I have had some amazing spider rolls where u look at it and you see so much meat, and they cook it perfectly to get that crunch instead of a chewy shell---theirs had no meat, it was all shell and breading and the shell was chewy. The only thing I enjoyed was the white tuna nigiri.....it was really good- very fresh, my favorite, and it is only 3.95 for 2 pieces. The place looks pretty cool from the outside, but I would not recommend eating their sushi. Such a disappointment.
- Pros: Interesting building from the outside, friendly owner
- Cons: sushi is horrible
