Disappointing experience for Sonny's. We have been going to Sonny's for years in several different locations. Tonight was the worst. The corn bread we ordered never came, even though we asked twice. Service was very slow. Drinks were not refilled. (Although when we left table to go to salad bar, our table was bussed. Instead of resetting it, they just put our used napkins and silverware back on the table in a mess...my question... was it placed on the tray to be taken to kitchen and then removed and replaced on our table?) I haven't always been thrilled with service, but this was the worst and restaurant wasn't very busy.

Owner Sonny Tillman has been serving the same Southern barbecue and fixings since 1968. A common roadside stop, Sonny's offers low prices and barbecue; roomy booths, wagon-wheel chandeliers and homey craft art are the standard dining room decor. House barbecue sauce, available sweet, regular or hot, spices up large helpings of smoked beef, pork, chicken, turkey and ribs. Sides like fresh fried okra, onion rings and barbecue beans complement the entrees.

BAR B Q. THE FOOD IS GREAT AS LONG A YOU EAT THEIR. DON'T DO TAKE OUT THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR ORDER AND NOT OFFER TO FIX IT MOST THE TIME EVEN FORGETTING ITEMS.

Genuine Florida Destination. Trash? Hardly! I do think that their BBQ beef is the best of their offerings, but it is fine BBQ beef. The service is consistently pretty good, and personally, there's nothing I like better than a Sonny's All-you-can-eat Beef plate. Good sauces, good value. Tacky surroundings, but they're clean (and bring a sweater - Sonny's LOVES to crank the A/C).

Ask an ex-Floridian about Sonny's, and across the country, you'll hear: "mmmmm...Sonny's!"

This place is DISGUSTING--feel GROSS BBQ. Who calls this trash "barbeque?" It is absolutely disgusting. I couldn't even down any of the meat except maybe the BBQ beef because it was so nasty. The only half decent things there are the fries, some sides, and iced tea. And those aren't even BARBECUE. There are MUCH better places out there over this horrific cheap tourist attraction imitation. I wouldn't take anyone to this out right GROSS restaurant. The service isn't so great either. Feel GROSS barbecue.
