Step inside Czech-American artist Albin Polasek’s museum, gardens and former residence in Winter Park. The artist was a renowned 20th century sculptor and created works of stone, bronze, plaster and wood based upon nature. His work is found throughout the property, including the Emily Fountain, which is a depiction of Polasek’s wife playing the harp in her younger years. The museum also celebrates the artist’s birthday every Valentine’s Day with Viennese coffee, apple strudel and apricot, poppy seed and raspberry kolache, which is a traditional Czech pastry.
