This family-owned French restaurant has been serving Winter Park since 1982..
The Scene
Although the food is gourmet--the atmosphere, including paintings of French scenery and plain white linens and dishes--boasts a more bistro-like feel. There large number of regulars gives the establishment a homey, comfortable feel. Service is both friendly and professional
The Food
Inquire about the soup or pate of the day; they're often delicious. For an appetizer, try the Les Escargots a Lail--snails sauteed in butter and a healthy portion of garlic served atop a cake of roquefort cheese. The rack of lamb, filet mignon, and breast of duck are all served with a choice of peppercorn, country mustard, or port with sun-dried cherry sauce; the tender medallions of mouth-watering lamb are a favorite. All dinners are served with a loaf of crusty French bread and dinner salad. The Grand Marnier cheesecake, always a wonderful way to end a meal, competes with a delicious creme brulee for the title of best dessert.
