Houstons' service

We are great Houstons' customers, love the food and service is usually great, last evening we had stone crab appetizer and then had ribs, what we missed was a warm towel or finger bowl to rinse off, first the crab, then after the ribs, in the past it always came automatically. The 4 of us left with sticky fingers and it was our friends' first time to our favorite restaurant. We are in Mount Dora but the trip into Winter Park is always worth it, I hope it was just an oversight last night not something they've done away with!

Houstons - Great Place for any evening

I love eating at this restaurant. The food is delicious, seriously, the best in town. Great place to see friends or good people watching. Very clean restaurant, very fresh food. Beautiful setting on the lake. Highly recommend.

Exceptional Dining

If I were a millionaire, I'd eat at Houston's every day. :)

The atmosphere, service and food is superb.

Everything --appetizers, main course, dessert, wine -- is just perfect. Also, they don't charge a corking fee if you bring a bottle that is not served in-house.

I left happy and ready for my next visit!

Great Steaks Meet Contemporary Architecture

I love Houston's. After our first visit, it immediately became our GoTo spot for celebrating deals or schmoozing new clients. Honestly, I'll look for any excuse to visit Houston's, it's just that good of an experience.

The first thing you notice at Houston's is the incredible design of the building. It has an open ceiling which reveals wood beams that reach outward and upward over a lake. A glass partition is the only barrier between diners and the waterfront. A pathway leads out to a dock and I witnessed nearby residents arriving in their boat (hell yeah!)

The kitchen is open and reminiscent of Hell's Kitchen with lots of cooks buzzing about. And the food is always fresh and delicious. Beware, popular dishes sometimes run out -- like their to-die-for NY strips.

Overall, a wonderful dining experience with upscale food in a casual, yet tremendous, setting.

Great food!

Houston's in Winter Park Florida has always been a favorite of mine. The food is great and the service is good most of the time. I usually order one of their tasty burgers and fries and on special occasions I'll order some of their mouth-watering barbecued baby-back "fall of the bone" ribs. Some great appetizers to look for are the spinach artichoke dip and chips and the smoked salmon which comes with crackers and tartar sauce.

The entrees and appetizers are pricey but it's worth it. My only complaints is that it's often very crowded and you have to wait a while to be seated. The service is usually good but once in a while your food takes longer then usual to get to you.

In conclusion, Houston's is a wonderful restaurant and is perfect for dates and other special occasions (such as birthdays).

• Pros: Great entrees and appetizers
• Cons: Long waits on busy days, service is sometimes slow, often crowded and as a result it's hard to find a place to park.
