Awful Experiences.
What a awful experiences!
The sad part is that we loved this restaurant. Every Friday there we were. We had considered this restaurant our family restaurant.
We had just asked to move from sitting and when Jeff the manager came over or hell were left loose by this monster. He was abusive and condescending to us. He mocked us and then requested for us to leave HIS restaurant…
Jeff is a careless employee where he puts his ego and his macho-ness before his duty as Manager for the Sanford Orlando Miller Ale house. Jeff is very unprofessional manger where he likes to intimidate his customer and bully them to the point customer are afraid to come to back to the Ale house. He is not friendly and he very bulgur. Jeff has made it clear to us that he does not care if Orlando Miller Ale house Sanford, FL loses faithful customer like us. The rest of the staff is great!
Great prices for great food and great portions. My husband and I have visited this restaurant twice and we loved our experience. The food was great and we will be going back every week. The service was great the waiter was very personable and the manager made us feel very welcome. The price was very reasonable and the quantity and quality of the food was great.
Worst Take-out Service EVER!. This was one of those 'WHAT THE HELL MOMENTS?' I phoned in an order for pick up and everything was fine when I arrived at the location. Problem, after I gave a $20 bill to the take out clerk/bar chick she returned with my change. With my hand extended to receive the change she placed on the top of counter while looking square in the eyes and my hand still extended to receive my change. And she said, "What (very nasty)???" And I took a deep breath, and advised her, 'if someone place $$ in her hand, she should place the change back in the customer's hand'. She said, ' I've always placed customer change on the counter and she didn't understand what the problem was'. I told her she really need to work on her customer service skills. So I asked for the manager, she initialed hesitated. So, I asked other waiters to get the manager. The manager came out and I advised him of the problem and HE SAID, 'I will take care of it! (I will believe it when I see it!) That want to be blonde should not be working with customers at ALL! Maybe this MILLERS ALE HOUSE is doing okay, but this is one less customer they will get another $ from!
Unpretentious, stick-to-your-ribs food prepared in a haven for sports fanatics..
The Scene
The Ale House is one of the state's mini-chains. All share the same basic menu, decor and commitment to tasty, far-from-fancy food. The decor is reminiscent of a sports bar, with bench-like seats and thick wooden tables. TVs are hung throughout, although the noise level remains tolerable.
The Food
Start off with the deep-fried conch fritters, a taste of Key West. The Ale House Combo--a platter of potato skins, conch fritters, fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks and sauces--feeds a crowd. The chicken nachos are a rather bland mountain of chips under a lava slide of cheese. The baby back ribs are generously portioned, fall-off-the-bone tender and smothered in a tangy sauce. Another good bet for dinner is the blackened prime-rib sandwich. The burgers are big and juicy. The brownie hot fudge sundae is the star of the small dessert menu.
