This Village Plaza rocket ship bar launches into a beer-soaked orbit in Maitland. Experience a bar where the regulars know each other’s names and hang almost daily for a cold one after work. The cozy pub serves 10 domestic and import brews on tap and more than 50 bottled beers from around the globe. Hipsters and locals mix and mingle on the community bench while eating light grub paired with brew or glass of wine. Distractions include playing pool or darts before a local or national act takes the stage

My favorite pub

Copper Rocket is a great place to hang out and enjoy a beer and good conversation. The owners are great. Very friendly. Great music, great vibe. My wife and I enjoy having a few pints at the bar while playing checkers.

Great beer selection, relaxed atmosphere. Gather your beer loving friends!

Amazing beer selection. Period. Perhaps not as many in sheer numbers as some other bars/ pubs (although they still probably have upwards of 2 or 3 dozen yummy, obscure, and beer aficionado standbys), but the choices on the menu are, on the whole, very well picked. They recently started offering a monthly local microbrew selection. Very relaxed, neighborhood bar atmosphere- which is perfect if you want an evening to meet a few friends, enjoy a variety of tasty imports at very reasonable prices all while avoiding the parking and frat/sorority denizens nightmare which can be downtown on any given evening. And, as a bonus, the bartenders/ servers are cool and actually seem to know and care about their beers, which is refreshing to say the least. I >think< the pool tables may even be free of charge, and theres darts as well. They also have a good menu of "drinking" snack/ comfort foods :)

  • Pros: Beer selection, good prices, low key hangout, good (if perhaps a bit limited) service.
  • Cons: .......?
