Still the best after 14 years!
by Gina Holbrook at Citysearch
When our son was born 14 years ago Dr. Landis came to the hospital to take care of him. We were so impressed with his kidness we have never looked anywere else for a doctor. Our son Tyler who is now 2 was born 5 weeks early. Dr. Landis, Dr. Roque and Dawn were amazing while he was in the NICU. They were always a phone call away and always made us feel as we were thier only patients.
Thank you for 14 years of wonderful service to the Holbrook Family!
- Pros: Very caring staff and great doctors.
- Cons: None so far!
Apathetic Staff - Crude and Ignorant
by GoCrimson at Citysearch
My son is nearly 4 years old and has been seen by Dr. Landis since birth. He is an amazing Pediatrician; kindhearted and well-educated. However, we have noticed over the years, that his staff has become increasingly apathetic. The staff is terse and disinterested. When we changed insurance carriers we were treated very rudely, simply because it required additional paperwork for them to process. Furthermore, their request for school forms (and anything else) is absurd to say the least, after a series of laborious efforts you are left with no forms and total frustration. And if your at the point were you would like to voice your opinion about the lousy service, you're transferred to yet another voice mail. As a result of the staff's crude behavior and ignorant ways, we are now searching for another Pediatrician. Dr. Roque and Dr. Landis are amazing Pediatrician's, however, a doctor's practice is only as good as his staff.
- Pros: Dr. Landis
- Cons: Staff is rude, Never seen at scheduled appointment time, NOT worth the effort
My son was fired from Lake Mary Pediatrics
by KLZParent at Citysearch
My son was seen at Lake Mary Pediatrics since birth. At 4 years old, I took him in for allergies. The visit went fine but when they billed my new insurance carrier (Aetna), the $38 claim was returned unpaid. I called Aetna and they said they needed Proof of Prior Coverage from my previous insurance company (Golden Rule) to determine it wasn't a preexisting condition. I requested the form from Golden Rule but never received it. I called and requested it a second time. After several late payment notices from Lake Mary Pediatrics, I called the billing department to let them know that as soon as I received the Proof of Prior Coverage form, I would submit it to Aetna and they would pay the claim. After a few more late notices, I finally received the Proof of Prior Coverage letter and faxed it to Aetna. The very next day, I received a certified letter signed by every doctor in the practice that my soon would no longer be seen by them. Unbelievable!!!!!
- Pros: New Clean Office
- Cons: Billing Department
