Fastest and Most Reliable Instrument Repair Around. I have been getting instruments repaired at Red Barn for nine years now, and I have always been satisfied. Often, if it's a small repair such a bent key or cork that needs replacing, Pat will take a break from what he's doing and spend a few minutes fixing your instrument so you can be on your way. He's a fantastic luthier; he's always been able to figure out the most elusive problems.

Just to warn you, though, he'll talk your ear off! :)

An unexpected pleasure. My husband had 2 trumpets with small dings in them. (a King Silver Flair model we were giving to our grandson and a Besson Kanstol model we were re-selling). He called Pat, talked for a long time about instrument repair and instruments in general. We dropped them off and before we knew it, they were finished. When we picked them up, we could not tell where the dings had been. We don't think Pat can guarantee he'll be as fast all the time (Summers would be busy with getting school instruments ready for the Fall), but he appears to be committed to his kraft. We are very satisfied with Pat's work product and knowledge.

Unprofessional and Tactless - Poor Customer Service. The owner Suzy McLaughlin came to a local school to offer band instruments for sale or rent. The owner's flyer clearly stated that they will work with bad credit. I asked about renting an instrument and prefaced this by indicating that my credit was "not that good". The owner refused to even take my application and stated in front of other parents and students that I "could not afford" the instrument and that I had a "problem". I became very embarrassed and offended, and the band teacher even approached the owner to address the situation as the band teacher was under the impression that bad credit was not an issue as long as you had a credit or debit card. The owner Suzy McLaughlin gave no explanation for her behavior. The owner refused to extend an application to me to check whether my credit would qualify and slandered me publicly. I would not recommend this business due to the appalling lack of professionalism and terrible treatment of potential customers. She made value judgments and narrow-mind assumptions regarding my situation, and made no effort to apologize. I have also contacted the parent company she represented, Bringe Music, and am awaiting a response.
