I've been a customer of Goldfingers for several years now and nothing could be further from the truth. I just checked yesterday while going in for my facial and every one of the technicians at Goldfingers who does chemical peels has been licensed for years -- their licenses are posted (and always have been) in plain view in the front office. They also do have a medical director on staff, so I'm not sure where that claim by carmillatrav comes from -- the medical director is front and center in all of Goldfinger's advertisements in Lake Mary Life magazine as well as other top Central Florida publications. Name-dropping by the owner? Only out of rightful pride in her work. Last time I was there, the co-inventor of Retin-A (Dr. James Fulton) was there endorsing Goldfinger's. Carmillatrav's job is to review spas? Then I'm sure she wouldn't mind posting her real identity for verification/repudiation. Such transparent slander and libel is comical -- the hundreds of satisfied and regular customers of Goldfingers must be laughing their heads off at Carmillatrav.
ugh. it smelled so bad in there, and my face broke out extremely badly; blisters included. my friend said the massage was decent, i didnt get a massage, i got a facial... my facial was painful and still recovering. skip goldfingers and just shop at steinmart next door.
AVOID Goldfingers: An honest opinion from a spa critic/writer. My job is to critique spas, mostly in major cities of the US and several other countries. I was in Orlando on duty of work, and was asked to check out various spas outside of the ?tourist? area. Goldfingers was the third spa visited and experienced during my time in central Florida. I am shocked that this awful place is still in business. I have never witnessed a more unsanitary spa and lack of skill in my entire career as a spa critic. I got a facial anonymously so I would be treated as any walk-in client. The decor is tacky, the place smelled of a Chinese restaurant, and the rooms were dirty, unkempt and shameful. I hate to write such negative critiques, but I feel it is necessary to let the public know of this business. There was no doctor on the presence, yet the licensed estheticians were performing medical-grade/medial-percentage peels followed with yet another peel the microdermabrasion. As it is my job to know, this is illegal and very dangerous. The owner of the business performed my treatment which was suprising as she was confident and claimed herself a clinical skin care specialist and name-dropped many doctors. My face was in pain for literally 2 weeks, and the facial was not enjoyable and lacked skills and profession. I also saw no sign of sanitation utilities and the sheets were soiled as if they were not changed in quite some time, and even the steamed towels smelled of mildew. After the facial, I had a massage which was good, and the massage therapist definately had skills and passion, but the environment and soiled bedding turned me off.
