Atmoshphere and Food were both a VERY nice surprise. I was a 14+yr resident of Altamonte Springs and still visit regularly from our home in Jacksonville, FL. I had eaten here on a few occasions and always considered this a 3 1/2 star restaurant with OK atmosphere and good food. The location is the same as always, BUT much larger and much more fun-filled atmosphere with a somewhat romantic LATIN FLAVOR. Live music added to that fun. Service was well above average. Alhough they had the old standby pork and shredded beef dishes, we chose the Paella and mango-sauce porkchop. My chop was very large and juicy with perfect mashed potatoes topped with crisp fried onions. The sauce was very nice with just the right amount. A great dish overall. Her paella was just as nice. VERY large portion (actually suitable for both of us) and very tasty. We ordered Mojitos & bourbon to drink and both were pleased with the portions and presentations. I do not remember either dish on the old menus and can not comment on the old standby dishes, but I can tell you that I would highly recommend this place for a great night out for a couple.

Great latin restaurant. If you are looking for a great atmosphere and great food, this is the place to be. Don Pepe's Cuban Cafe offers a wide variety of Latin dishes with the house specialty, Cuban cuisine. On Fridays and Saturdays they have live entertainment and on Sundays flamenco dancers. The restaurant's decorations makes you feel that you in the middle of a plaza and sometimes the servers sign to you as they are bringing your food. This restaurant should definitely be on your list!
