Great service. When writing a review we always mention food. Today lets talk about service. Several weeks ago we visited the Red Lobster on Colonial. We were seated immediately but not acknowledged until 20 minutes later. Our server did not apologize for the wait and it took another 10 minutes for her to arrive with bread and our drinks. Too make a long story short our, our dinner experience took approximately one hours and 45 minutes. URG..... that will be the last time I go there. Yesterday my husband and I went to the Red Lobster on 436 Altamonte Springs. We decided to see how long it would be before we were acknowledged. Within minutes we were attended. Our server, Michael explained everything on the menu. Bread and beverages was at the table 5 minutes later. Service was excellent and everything came out in a timely fashion. When I go out, I not only want good food but I want good service and thats what I received yesterday with Michael. If your looking for good food and service walk into Red Lobster on 436. Thank you Michael for a wonderful experience.
Casual crustacean-inspired chain serves up diet-defying seafood dishes in a family-friendly environment..
Live lobsters wriggle in a tank inside this seafood emporium, where nautical-patterned booths and colorful, fish-shaped tables in the bar area add subdued touches of whimsy to the room's classy dark wood accents. The menu can be downright decadent, with starters of artichoke lobster dip, seafood fondue, and crab-stuffed mushrooms. Entrees feature lighter, grilled fare like mahi-mahi and North Atlantic sea scallops, along with signature lobster dishes, snow crab legs, and jumbo fried shrimp platters.
Good Lobster. I have to agree that it is not the best Seafood Restaurant yet in the Orlando Area I have not encountered a "fresh seafood" restaurant... all of them serve frozen produce... Now... if you ask me about the LOBSTERS I have to say that they are the best in town... you know they are fresh as you can pick your own and as long as you have them the "NATURAL" way --steamed-- you will never fail... As for the service, it could be better, specially from those who call themselves "hosts", yet I have seen worse in so-called first class restaurants... so far, on every occasion that I have visited a RL, I have had good and friendly service... stick with the LOBSTERS and you will have no complaints... as for the "ambience" I have to say that the RLs that I have visited in the Orlando Area are fantastic when you compare them to those I have seen in the WCD Metropolitan Area...
Red Lobster best seafood?. No. I'm always shocked when I come to this site and see that, out of hundreds of restaurants, a chain restaurant that serves frozen food is listed as a 'best' restaurant. Red Lobster has it's good points I will admit.... I love the biscuits! And the atmosphere is cool, very florida-y...but best seafood??? C'mon...they serve frozen seafood, and frozen shrimp...I can make seafood better at home... Some of the 'catch of the day' entrees are ok...if it's fresh...but it's a chain for goodness sakes!!! It's like saying the Olive Garden is the best Italian!!! PLEASE!!!!! I hate to see pour unknowing tourists get the idea that we in Orlando think this is this is the best seafood restaurant! There are SO many good places to get seafood...
