Apopka's Best Kept Secret. Apopka's Best Kept Secret

The popcorn alone is a good enough reason to go here; they really know how to make it. Better yet, join their Gold Crown Club and take off from work on Tuesday for "Free Popcorn Day". How this place stays in business I will never know; it never seems very busy. More often than not there are less than a dozen people in any movie, often just a handfull, sometimes I am all by myself. It's like having your own private movie house.

The movies, though, are first-run...not old has-been movies you might expect to see in a place like this. The facility is clean, well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful. I am lucky to be within walking distance and frequently just walk up to see a movie. Very nice neighborhood place that's worth going out of your way for.

Small, But Quaint. I've been going to this theatre since I moved here, It's the closest to me. And yes, it has it's faults but it's quite nice. My only problem with it is the Friday night crowd that hangs out right down the walkway at the Subway. But That's only outside. Inside It's a nice group of workers, very customer oriented. I've never actually had to complain about anything, the theatre's aren't usually packed, nothing usually sells out because it's a smaller theatre and people tend to go to other, bigger places, rather than this, so It's quite nice, especially if you enjoy smaller theatre's with less people. =]

Hairy Experience. On Saturday evening (6/29/02), I went to see Lilo& Stitch. Only 10 minutes into the film, a piece of hair or string affixed itself to the front of the projector, casting a 3-4 foot shadow on the screen. I requested four times during the movie that the problem be fixed, but it wasn't. Unfortunately, the movie was ruined for me. I'm an Apopka citizen, but from now on, I will be sure to make the drive to Winter Park to enjoy their theater.
