If you call yourself a rib-lover...if you have a taste for some southern food with a little soul inside...

For years I drove by Uncle Jones BBQ reading the sign "Nothin Mo Betta" all the while thinkin yeah right. If the food is sooo great, where are your customers? Well a friend stopped in once to give it a try and would not shut up about how much he loved the baked beans and the sliced pork sandwich he had earlier that day. My curiosity had just about gotten the best of me by this point anyways so the next weekend we stopped in for the buffet. By the way you can find Uncle Jones BBQ on 436 on your your left after you pass 17-92 coming from Casselberry. He is across from the old Joy gas station(can't miss him if your lookin for it) I was absolutely amazed at the immense flavor of the food and even more so by the story of Uncle Jones(Henry) himself and what he had built this once seemingly irrelevant operation from and where he was now. Bambi used to be our waitress. A little old black lady must have been pushin 90 or so. She was the best and she has since passed(Lord rest her soul). She always knew when me and the band came in that we all wanted sweet teas. Her memory is always honored... I can only assume that many people still do not know about the delicious mashed potatoes! The sliced pork melts in your mouth. The Greens! I've never had greens as good as Uncle Jones greens. In fact, I really don't prefer anyone elses over his AT ALL. The crispy fried chicken just pours out juices with every bite. The corn bread is sweet, crisp and moist inside-just delicious! Try the peach cobbler, homemade garlic bread, fried catfish, crispy shrimps, grilled chicken legs, thighs, breats! Fried Okra, buttery mixed veggies, and dirty rice! It's all there! Oh and don't let me forget the ribs! I choose those ribs hands down over any other rib joint! Black Max BBQ was the only competition(on Pine Hills Rd) but closed their doors years ago. Tell your friends! Tell your family! Or bring them all over to Uncle Jones for some of the best down home cookin you ever had in your life!
- Pros: Easy to find if you look! Great value for your buck! Best southern cookin around!!!
- Cons: Not very healthy but damn it tastes good!
