In Short
The menu includes more than two dozen kinds of fresh fish--broiled, baked, fried or mesquite-grilled. Try the grouper, mahi mahi, swordfish, yellowfin tuna, Florida lobster tail, fried clam strips, or a nine-ounce salmon steak deliciously marinated in lime juice, Italian herbs and honey. The Captain's Platter highlights two exceptional menu items--steamed lobster tail and mesquite-grilled shrimp. Steaks and salad round out the menu, but stick with what Straub's does best: seafood. And, of course, Key lime pie.

My wife and I have eaten here once, and found the food a very good value, and the service excellent. Very clean and good atmosphere. Our neighbors are very picky about restaurants, and they eat there once a week, so this is a good testament. Watch for coupons in the paper and early bird specials.

We have been enjoying Straub's for years and have had consistently excellent experiences. All seafood is fresh, salad dressings are homemade (the caesar salad is wonderful!), the creamed spinach side dish is fabulous and the freshly baked, homemade herb bread is to die for. This pleaser is number one in our book, hands down. The atmosphere is a unique old Florida ambiance and we're equally comfortable dressed up or dressed down. Very difficult to find all of this in one wonderful place. Enjoy!

We've been going to Straubs for years and the service and food has consistently been top-notch. I used to love their sword fish but don't see it on the menu any longer. Lately, I've been ordering the tuna steak and it's excellent!
