Probably the most classic Disney dinning expierience.. Who can match Disney for service??....and how often do you get a chance to eat with Mickey Mouse?....a restaurant that is and should be every families dinning tradition at Disney.
A lively restaurant with a luscious buffet: Character dining with class..
The Scene
Bright, airy and beautiful, the Crystal Palace is one of the Magic Kingdom's fanciest restaurants--if you ignore the costumed characters lollygagging near the buffet, that is. Adult diners love the atriumlike atmosphere while kids much prefer meeting Pooh. The true beauty of the restaurant, however, shines through at night: The Crystal Palace glows golden and gives diners a perfect view of the Magic Kingdom's fireworks display.
The Food
Breakfast is a favorite meal here--the French toast is divine--but lunch and dinner are equally as popular (and crowded). Typical fare, served buffet-style, includes pasta, salads and "kid food"--but most diners prefer the sundae bar.
Pleasant but Noisy. At the Crystal Palace, the atmosphere's the thing. The dining area is airy and fresh, and mirrored walls further opened the rooms up. Food was adequate -- good chicken and flank steak, but needed a few more veggies and desserts. Winnie, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet strolled the room, and I liked the fact that they were sure to stop at our table, even though no kids were with us. They could, however, use a more organized way of checking in for Priority Seating. Lines were confusing and when we were finally beeped, it meant "go to the door and wait," not "come in, come in!" The woman at the door was probably used the confusion, because she didn't smile a whole lot. However, our waitress was extremely funny and gave us great service!
A great p(a)lace. Crystal Palace is a wonderful place for all ages - especially in the evening after a long day. The view of the fireworks during dinner is great! It is the first place my children want to eat at on our yearly visit to Orlando.
Quality Cuisine. I finally got a chance to visit The Crystal Palace and it came after the total refurbishment of the building. Everything about the restaraunt was very eye appealling, from the decor to the food. I found the glazed duck to be cooked to perfection. The style is buffet, so you can pick and choose to the kind of food you desire. Overall and excellent experience.
Breakfast at Eyore's. Breakfast was delightful in this beautiful location. However, despite it's recommendations as a wonderful restaurant, I must admit we ate there because of Eyore. My twelve year old simply dotes on him. The character breakfast is run like well-oiled machine (of course WDW is like that in general). The food was good, however, the french toast, as billed, was unbelievable. I'm not a big breakfast eater, and couldn't get enough of this item from the buffet. I highly recommend this character breakfast for kids of all ages. My children are 12 and 18 and thoroughly enjoyed it, as did my husband and I, who are in our 40's. Don't miss it!
