Cool atmosphere..Fast Service. I got the blackened chicken with really good garlic spicy mayo. Hubby got the burger which was one of the best burgers I've had in a while...Love their seasonings. It was $100 for 5 people with drinks which really isn't that bad. The waitress was really friendly and pretty fast service for a Sat night! Liked the atmosphere. We went inside afterwards to see "The Roots" rock out !. Cool place for first time visit
salt island restaurant on international drive. Avoid like the plague. After going to Florida for the last 12 years this is the first time a restaurant has tried to rip us off. The service was terrible and the food was not much better. The waiters were more like second hand car dealers, very, very pushy. They even took are plates away even before we had finished our meal. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Wonderful experience. I had my first visit to HOB a few months ago, and it instantly became my favorite place to eat in Orlando! The atmosphere was laid-back, live music was playing and the food was delicious (try the calamari and key lime pie!!). Our server, Sean, definitely made our night though.. he was knowledgeable, super friendly and attentive. He made great recommendations to my table, and poured a perfect Guinness. My only complaints would be the hostess stand.. they are a mess with wait times and seating. Besides for consistently being mis-quoted wait times, my visits to HOB have always been a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this place to friends, family, tourist and locals alike -- ask for Sean!
Food + Art+ Music = Perfect Blend.. Okay, so finding a space in the Downtown Disney parking lot can be trying on one's patience, however once you walk into the House of Blues Orlando (or any House of Blues for that matter) the blending of great music, interesting folk art adorned walls and the smell of Mississippi Delta inspired cuisine makes a great start to an evening at this popular outskirts of Mickey Land dining establishment. The food is interesting and will entertain your cravings for good ol southern home cooking or for those that enjoy fuel fired cajun cuisine.. my recommendations are "The Elwood" sandwich and for desert do not pass up the White Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding. If you are complmenting your dining experience with a resort stay, do make a point to go to the Gospel Brunch on Sunday. Great music and food for the soul. And of course if you are planning to go to the House of Blues concert hall, call ahead and make reservations as you can participate in the "House of Blues Pass The Line" which entiltes you to pass the long lines at the concert with proof of a dinner receipt from the restaurant. Just remember to make your dining reservations the same day you buy your concert tickets since it will benefit you come concert time. The Houes of Blues Orlando is also conveniently located next to the Cirque Du Soleil theater and is also a great compliment to a great evening out.
User review by lockshockandbarrel. Thefood is expensive, but much cheaper than the rest of Disney and better too! They're food is really amazing and the service is for the most part good. The only problem I ever had was that they brought out our appetizers then two minutes later brought out the main courses. We hadn't even started the appetizers!
Soul food blends hypnotically with soul music, making this theme restaurant as much a feast for the eyes as for the taste buds..
In Short
A mixture of blues legends and fantastical voodoo. Busts of bluesmen come and gone hang overhead. Southern folk art covers nearly every inch of the place; it feels like a world away from the Disney fluff outside. The baby back ribs with garlic mashed potatoes and turnip greens are finger-lickin' good; the decadently sweet bread pudding comes soaked in a whiskey sauce. A children's menu offers staples like grilled cheese sandwiches and hamburgers.
Great Ribs.
Wonderful dining experience. We enjoyed dinner and surroundings. We would recommend House
of Blues to all our friends.
Too pricey. I was not impressed... I didn't like the food. I thougt this place was too pricey.
